Work Description: Install two wireless remote doorbells.
Comments: Wireone answered my request in a timely manner and sent out an extremely persuasive young man to survey what I would like done. We, my husband and my self, both in our mid 70’s have a doorbell that is very hard to hear due to its placement in our home. After Johnny looked through our home we decided on two remote, wireless doorbells would be placed in our bedroom hallway and above kitchen cabinets. This was decided after two previous quotes of well over $2,000.00 to install another type doorbell, and also talk of having to replace doorbell, tearing out wall to get to wires and repainting. So, decided $1,200.00 on two wireless remotes would be cheaper.I signed the agreement. Put down a $500. deposit. But for some reason I just kept having these red flag feelings. Two days later we received merchandise in the mail from Amazon for Wireone. I opened the box and found two wireless doorbells from Amazon with an invoice for $89.96. Seriously!! $89.96?
I know prices have gone up for services rendered but this is OUTRAGEOUS!! Now we don’t mind paying for a service call to access the work to be performed and we don’t mind paying for services being done but $1500.00/$2,000.00 to install a doorbell or two wireless remote doorbells!
I called my credit card immediately told them my story put a hold on the $500.00 and sending equipment back!! What company can do that to a couple in their mid and late 70’s and feel good about it……or to any one???

Comments: Very expensive! Had to negotiate price down at their requested rate by almost 50%. I still feel I was overcharged. On a positive note the electrician was very amicable, professional and capable. I am pleased with his installation on my project. Though In the future, I feel I will deal strictly locally for this type of service. I would had appreciated an estimate prior to arrival and not have to negotiate. I rejected their service per the original quote amount the tech got on the phone and the estimate was reduced by almost $300.00! This was a simple job connecting 3 wires and 2 nut fasteners for each of the 4 fixtures.Indianola IA

Comments: I feel that Wireone was not upfront with me when I called them about my two small projects. The person on the phone did not tell me that the 39.00 charge was a dispatch charge! She led me to believe it was the “showing up” charge! So I automatically became defensive and felt duped. NOT a good feeling. Then when the very nice person who came told me how much this 15 minute job would cost, I couldn’t believe it! WAY overpriced! I had a lot of mixed emotions about what was happening... this man was so nice but he was telling me how much this would cost...$250.00! So, I had to tell him that I wouldn’t/couldn’t pay that amount for such a small job. He then called his manager and then told me the price can be dropped to $143.00.! It’s interesting to me how they dropped the price when I refused to pay the first amount! I appreciated the man who came and did the work. He was very professional and kind. Comments: Laurie and Nick from WireOne were great! I was connected through NetWorx and Laurie pulled over her car to talk to get the info she needed to get an electrician to me as soon as possible. The problem was fixed within two hours and everything was working before our event kicked off which was EXTREMELY important. From what I understand, RV's were not the usual work base for this company but they jumped in and had it fixed faster than any other electrician I've ever called. I would definitely recommend WireOne to ANYONE.
