Work Description: Installation of doors.
Comments: I do not normally comment, but Mr. King just blatantly lied about my husband (Dennis) and indicated that he was a drunk - this is NOT true. Sadly Mr. King lives in a world where his substandard work is acceptable. The installation of 3 doors and a screen door resulted in us having to shim and re-do much of the work ourselves. He was indeed paid in FULL for his efforts, regardless of his ability to do the job properly. Since he was tired and fully paid, he asked to come back another day to finalize the installations. He set up numerous times to return and did NOT show up rather he continually re-scheduled, sometimes not even calling or texting to say he would not be arriving. We responded to every text and repeatedly asked when he would return. After several weeks, we completed the work ourselves and moved on. As a leader in the community -- someone who sits on numerous boards and works with professionals of the highest caliber -- I can attest to Mr. King's lack of professionalism and ability. Let's talk about the grease stain on the carpet from where he tossed a tool, the knife cut into the weather-stripping of the brand-new screen door that was improperly installed (the pneumatic screen door closer was upside down), the frame extensions to secure the weather-stripping for the exterior double door that were not installed, cutting all the wires to our security system that were in the door frames, and the need to re-chisel every lock entry because they would not lock securely. Personally, I do NOT believe that's good work. Again, I (nor my husband) normally comment on these sites, but we felt the need to inform. We were not going to offer a list of his short-comings, but his insistence on lying about our personal lives has driven us to provide details of our encounter with this man.Mcdonough GA

Work Description: Installed doors I had to order because he ordered the wrong type
Comments: After he installed doors hem said he was tired he said he would be back to finish them tomorrow but called and said he could not come back for a couple of days, then weeks went by and he never came back. So I finished the doors myself. Everything he did I had to redo because either the doors did not close correctly or they would not lock. I had to buy supplies to complete the job myself. Unfortunately I paid him after he installed the doors but did not complete the job!!!!

Work Description: Roderick called me within 20 mins of me inquiring on this website. He set an appt and was on time for the quote. We agreed on a price for some custom closet work and some odd jobs (repairing a door etc). The price was more than fair and we booked the job. He came today to do the work, again was on time and did the job quickly and detailed, no shortcuts. The job looks great and he was a pleasure to work with. Ill use Roderick for work again. This is the type of person you want to do business with. He says what he is going to do and does it.....hard to find these days

Work Description: I hired Southern Structures to remove (8) old interior doors and install new solid doors (in the existing door frames) in my 55 year old home.
Comments: Roderick King responded very timely to my request for an intial estimate. Though he ran into delays with Home Depot not having all of the doors on hand as planned the morning of the install, Roderick and his partner worked through the issue, showed up as planned and performed their work very professionally. He completed all of the work in a day. When I had some issues with doors swelling, Roderick again returned to make the necessary adjustments. I'm very pleased with his professionalism, quality and workmanship and would definately refer him to anyone looking for a master carpenter.Tucker GA

Comments: Mr. King called me immediately after I requested quotes, was able to schedule an appointment for the next day, showed up on time and finished the job in about three and a half hours. His price was very good and compared to other quotes I got from websites, his price was much better and much more aligned with the job. I would recommend Mr. King to friends and family and will not hesitate to call him again.-
