Comments: Good workmanship. Need a ‘closer’ to overview finalize or audit completion of project i.e. plastering back walls tore out - sheet rock & hole repairs was not done until pointed out to them - plastering & patching looked rough & not look professional. The Contract set up was 2 part -1 covering major work - was well defined - 2 nd part was not fully defined in scope & cost -estimate of cost was low. New toilet - bolts to secure to floor - had to ask to cut - only one bolt has a cap- cover - I was told the new toilet only had one (should not be my problem). Delay in completion of project resulted in a 2nd construction team to wait on them - which in light of crew leaving early one day & then coming in late another impacted the hand off with the other construction team. A big issue is the project was so to elderly residents - 89 & 95 yrs old had to cared for and we were without water an evening until the next day without water almost 24 hours - which was discussed in the beginning as water for cleaning & washing was critical - I was told this would not happen. The sink facets in kitchen were left loose until complaint was made- it was fixed but was told it was not sturdy before. My comment to project manager - is the finishing of the job to be a finish product to be as was when started or better is critical. Overall workmanship & competence was good - but all the above in the end left me frustrated.Torrance CA
