The Ricks Company, with Jeff Ricks at the helm, has been remodeling in San Antonio since 1997.
Jeff is a licensed contractor with experience in both residential and commercial construction. He is OSHA-certified and has been recognized as the Remodeler of the Year by the National Association of The Remodeling Industry.
Jeff's educational background includes coursework in Draftsmanship and Design, Industry Safety, Code Compliance and Budgeting Construction Projects. He has continued coursework through the Master Builders Continuing Education Program as well as OSHA Safety Standard and Practices in the Construction Industry. Many of Jeff's peers view his approach to customer service as the most obvious reason for his very long list of loyal and repeat customers.
Misty Ricks runs the design and specification side of The Ricks Company team. Having the ability to use 3D drawings for room layouts, cabinet configurations and textures and colors puts her clients immediately at ease. Misty has taught The Basics of Kitchen Design, Bath Design and Organization and How to Remodel Green for the Northeast Independent School District's Continuing Education Program for 10 years. She has been featured in local newspapers concerning new products for the kitchen and bath, including appliances, flooring and plumbing. Her designs have been recognized in the San Antonio Express News, San Antonio Magazine and San Antonio Taste Magazine.
Misty's love of design happened when she first joined the construction business with husband Jeff in 1997. She is a self-taught designer whose love of color and building motivated her to become a quick and avid learner of everything to do with design and residential construction.
"I think my prior experience as a teacher makes it easy for me to listen to my clients and work hard to help them visualize every aspect of the project," Misty says. "I like to make sure they know all of their design options so that they fully envision the project the way that I do."
When you hire The Ricks Company for your
remodeling project, here's what you can expect
Specifics about trims, edges and adhesives
Drawings for installations such as tile patterns, door swings, windows and cabinetry
Cost estimates that are easy to understand
Our comprehensive written estimates ensure that you know exactly what is included in the bid. For example, in our paint estimates, we state in the bid how many coats of paint we are using and the grade of paint. Paint can cost anywhere from $30 to $60 per gallon. If you have bids from two contractors but don't know what quality of paint is being specified, you may not have the full picture of why one bid is lower than the other. Using lower quality paint means that you will probably need to repaint twice as soon as using higher quality paint.
Other examples where quality matters include items such as wood floor adhesive, tile adhesive, framing materials, etc. If these items are spelled out in detail, the client is able to accurately define the differences in contractor bids.
Customer service and follow up
The Ricks Company has an excellent reputation for customer service and warranty follow-up. Our client surveys indicate that this is the single most important reason that they have returned to do business with The Ricks Company.
The Ricks Company offers you architectural and engineering services, required for major renovations, demolitions or additions. Our team also provides 3D renderings of what your space will look like when completed, giving you the advantage of knowing in advance how the materials, colors and style will come together.
