Work Description: Attic insulation replacement
Comments: Tharp Environmental is a complete SCAM!! Never do business with them!!They've just done a major work on our attic in March 2021 and we are still in shock about how they scammed us!
There were several pieces of work that they were supposed to do and they were all done horribly! I contacted two other companies to get their opinion about their completed work and they both told me that we were scammed and the work needs to be completely done again. I've been trying to reach Tharp environmental but they never returned my messages. We will pursue legal action and get our money back!
* They were supposed to remove old insulation and install R-38 insulation. We found out that the old insulation is still lying around in many places and they installed an unknown, bulky material for other places! Some areas are not event covered! It has absolutely nothing to do with our agreement. They hid what they did and if we didn't have a follow up work in the attic and didn't discover it they would get away with it!
* They were supposed to disinfect and rodent-proof the attic. But we found out that they didn't do anything to clean up the rodent droppings! They just left the old insulation covered in rodent droppings!! The inspector even saw a rodent still in the attic!
* They said they would tape the few places where the air duct is broken. Not only did they ignore taping them, but they made it even worse. The air duct was left in a much worse shape and it stopped heating our house. Instead it was blowing air directly inside the attic!
* They said they would come pickup the remaining insulation material and the huge garbage bags they left in front of our house the next day. They quietly came and picked up the leftover insulation materials and left the garbage there. The garbage bags are still lying in front of our house!!!
