Comments: This gentlemen Kevin Tingler from Star's Handy Services came to my house and wanted to collect 100% of his labor for the project I wanted to hire him to do. I told him i would give him a deposit and a balance when the job is complete. I gave him a little over half the money which was $1,700.00
He came 1 day, I gave him the deposit. He came back the next day to remove trim boards. Leaving my house in further disrepair. Then he showed up one day and said he had to measure, then he left and the next day he picked up the materials for the job. Next day he came back with his brother and a kid. He than told me that this can't be done for the agreed price. I asked him to give me the options and he proceeded to get hostile with me.
I find this behavior both unacceptable and unprofessional. It certainly makes me think twice about getting referrals from ANGI
I should have known that a person that comes to a prospective job site barefoot and tries to get all the money he can upfront is not reputable.
I feel is my duty to report this to you so you know he is gas lighting his clients and putting a bad name on both Angi and other reputable contractors you might recommend.
Dear Miss Pickens, After much thoughtful consideration, I have found the words to reply to you. #1 Your insurance company was going to cancel you for having wood rot #2 I removed all of the rotted boards your requested to be replaced #3 I purchased $400.00 in materials on your behalf #4 I painted the wood that needs to be installed Problems #5 You attemted to trick into doing work on your windows which was no in the original contract. #6 The nails wouild not stay in the wood because it was rotten underneath the siding #7 You argued with me about the validity of this. I have photos. I sent them to you before stopping. #8 you did not reimburse me for materials after telling me you would after the purchase. Conclusion Its my observation, that you hired a handyman, instead of a contractor so that you could manipulate your insurance company, And now your are defaming my reputation in order to prevent from paying your invoice. Pam please pay for you materials so we can resolve this. Thanks for the feed back as inaccurate as it may be. PS forgive me for not wearing muddy shoes on the sight. Also my name is STAR! Kevin was my fathers name. Hope you find happiness

Comments: I hired Star to put a new floor and toilet in. Then I decided I wanted a new sink in both bathrooms Oh and new floor in the second bath . I got upset because it was taking so long when it was really my fault . I added all that other stuff. She even fixed my dryer. Would hire again
