Review Me

Overall

Work Description: Bathroom(s) destroyed

Comments: Be warned, this is a VERY negative review

If you have the option between shoving your hand in a blender and using Square Foot LLC, I would recommend purée.

I will keep a 3 year story short, the first year we will chalk up to the worst and most terrible communication by SQ and exemplary patience by myself. The second year was a lot of back and forth trying to get my year long bathroom fixed, it dragged out more than necessary because Don Willis kept sending insurance information to the wrong email address for months and delaying the process. Work was eventually started and it was going great, the employees were nice and after the year plus of working with SQ we were finally happy things were moving forward. At this point I should've just shot myself so I could die happy. The only construction workers at my house ever were SQ employees, when we went on vacation SQ had to install a toilet and then reinstall the door, my first mistake was trusting them at all but my second was trusting them alone in my house. While on vacation they were in my house and they had to remove the pipe cap and installed the toilet back on but did not get around to rehanging the door till we got back from vacation. Once home an employee came to install the door but couldn't do so because some of the hardware(a hinge, remember this because it's important) couldn't be located so we purchased new hardware and used that to hang the door up.
We were excited to have a working bathroom again after 2+years and after our first night of using the only tub in the house for my three boys and the toilet in the bathroom, I started having backup and flooding in my garage and downstairs bathroom, so much water in fact that I had to use my large shop vac constantly until I could shut the water off. We had a plumbing company come out to help, they found the blockage in the pipes that caused the back up, it was a door hinge. Go figure.
I reached out to SQ about it with the correspondence from the plumber that the hinge must've fallen down the pipe when the toilet was uncapped and that would be why there was backup water in the house after the first use.
SQ went on to take no responsibility and blamed both my children and subcontractors, my children never went in the bathroom because of a child gate and a cap on the toilet, we never had any subcontractors on site, the only people to touch my door or toilet was SQ employees.

I reached out to PJ Griggs and he shifted blame and lied and then when we asked for the information of his licensed and bonded employees were who did the work he couldn't provide them and then when we told him we wanted to do an insurance claim he said his lawyer would be in contact(he never was.)

The plumber was able to tear up part of our driveway and remove the hinge, $8K and a new clean out drain later, we could use our upstairs bathroom, sadly because of this the downstairs bathroom floor was ruined due to the backup so now that bathroom is currently unusable(3 years of issues)

The plumber did noticed four or five things that were not up to code and corner cutting was taking, he noted specifically that the upstairs sink was not up to code and it will fail much faster than it should.
We had Don come look at that and all the other issues and the plumber even told him face to face that they need to be fixed, Don has not returned a call and has never come back to fix anything.

To this day Mr. Griggs has still taken no responsibility, Don is gone in the wind, they have yet to finish the job (I have my bathroom mirror in my walk in closet because they have yet to rehang it), I'm having to fix issues they didn't fix or ones that was caused by their lazy and unprofessional "work", I don't believe any SQ employe knows what a level is. They gave me a final walkthrough paperwork where I would finish paying them and I still have it hanging on my fridge. I would recommend smashing your fingers with a hammer so if you're tempted to used them you won't be able to dial the number, it will be less painful for you.
Unless you hate yourself, don't call
