Work Description: Grading / leveling / mulch / Timbers for playground
Comments: Originally when we said what our budget was - the owner of Dirt Worx said they could completely level our back area for the price as well and lay down landscaping fabric to keep weeds out, put down landscaping Timbers, and lay mulch. After one reschedule (due to weather) then I asked them to give us a new date after we’d be back in town. They never did, told us to have a good vacation was the response. The owner then calls me the Saturday we returned from town saying everything’s good to go for them to be out here Monday. Wasn’t really prepared but felt he didn’t give me a chance to say no. We ended up having an emergency come up the following day (Sunday) and needed to move the project date as we were paying for repairs on a car for a single mom at our church and it would put us in a bind paying both in the same week. Owner got mad and said he already ordered materials. Understood so we told them to come on out.After completing the project I was so disappointed in the work. For someone that said they’ve been in business 30 years I’m shocked. There’s grass still in the mulch. The Timbers are anchored in sloppy. Some already loose. The area is NOT anywhere near leveled and when I told them that they continued to say “I did what I could with the soil I had. You need a retaining wall to completely level it and that would be extra” but they told us they’d be able to level it when we hired them. THATS WHY WE HIRED THEM. Super disappointed and I feel like we’ve wasted $2500. Tried to attach photos but it won’t let me.
