Work Description: Over all remodeling project of our home that was built in 1964.
Comments: We had Kathy Sommers undertake a rather complicated project for use as a part of a overall remodeling project for our home. The complicated part of the project was the process of gutting two bathrooms that were part of the original house built in 1964 and the design and layout of the combined areas to make one large bathroom. She had multiple design and layout options for us to choose from and was very creative at utilizing all of the space available for a practical purpose while very tastefully creating a beautiful and functionally laid out bathroom.This part of the project took a great deal of time and effort on both the decor design and layout side, and I will say that Kathy was very patient and organized in all of the details involved in the process. She also had additional ideas she suggested on her own and we utilized as work was progressing, meaning she stayed involved and followed the progression of the project from start to finish.
She was very adept at staying within our budget and even suggesting ways of saving money while not compromising quality. We now have a beautiful bathroom at a very reasonable price per square foot. Also as part of the remodel we had carpeting taken up and hardwood floors laid down. We had wallpaper removed and painting done. She also designed, laid out a floor plan, and helped us select new upholstery for another area of the house and was able to find someone to re-upholster quality older furniture of our own rather then buy all new furniture.
Kathy was there whenever we needed her and was very accommodating to any plan changes we wanted to make. All of the workers and craftsman were very focused on detail and took the time to do the little things correctly. The employees were very well mannered, kind, and, polite. They always acted in a professional manner. Kathy is capable of undertaking a great variety of sub-specialties in the remodeling business which is a great benefit because she was able to coordinate all the contracting and work herself..
I would not hesitate to call on Kathy again to perform any work for us in the future, and feel I comfortable in recommending her to a friend for any projects. We are very happy with Kathy Sommers work and are appreciating and enjoying the results.
