Comments: I spoke to a really nice lady to schedule this service. I cancelled another company because I liked that they started at $89. I was aware there would be an upcharge if they needed to clean beyond a certain number of feet so wasn't surprised by that.

However, the guy who did the cleaning tried to charge me $99 to install a new hose, but the one we had was fairly new. The hose he wanted to install was a $16 hose and he said the $99 was for labor. He installed it in less than a minute.

He also tried to charge us $99 for a used vent cover, which is less than $5.00 brand new. He again said it was for the labor to remove 4 screws and then install the new one with those same 4 screws.

He said that he needed to use chemicals to sanitize and deodorize the lines, but I never saw him do that part. An $89 job turned into a $420 job, and I wish I would have just kept the company I was going to use.

The 2 stars are because the lady was very nice and accommodating because she kept calling when I was in meetings and agreed to text me to get the job scheduled.

Comments: Price quoted was for only part of the job. They were only going to clean the ducts and not the a/c coils. They wanted to charge me half again as much to vacuum the coil as they charged for all of the ductwork.After I complained to the boss he relented and did vacuum the coils as part of the price. They would not have changed my furnace fileters, which were very dirty if I hadn't had them on hand and given them to the technician. I have no way of knowing how well they cleaned the ducts, but given the equipment they had, I doubt if they got way back in the duct runs.
