Owner & Operator, Mack Vernon's knowledge history.
As a carpenter I have had the pleasure of working with a few great companies. With each, I improved my skill and aptitude through challenging positions and advancement. But regardless of where I have been employed, my morals, work ethic and drive have always been the sound foundation on which I have molded my ideal image of a Master Carpenter.
Rittenhouse Construction Company in Georgia, was were I began to procure carpentry techniques as an entry level construction worker; soon after was offered a position with the current largest stain glass company in Georgia, Jd‘s Glassworks. I advanced to Warehouse Manager after thoroughly learning several of the sub-departments and assisting where needed utilizing my new found carpenter skills. Installing allowed me to learn the finishing aspects of carpentry and afforded me knowledge of the stain glass, door and cabinet building processes. While employed, I met a self-employed Master Carpenter and began working side jobs that included intense polishing training in de/re-construction custom cabinetry, crown molding, decks and additions. I returned to Ohio to work with Fairport Yachts, which produces high end custom yachts requiring extreme attention to technique and detail. Cut backs on hours sent me into new fields of work which ended with roofing for Manning Construction. Here I learned every facet of commercial roofing and worked as a entry level commercial roofer then a site supervisor until the company split. The new company became Rapid Maintenance where we serviced all roofing, interior and exterior needs. While with them I advanced to their Field Forman position and was made efficient in the residential application of all roofing materials, siding, skylight application, roof coops and interior finishings.
