Comments: Plumber installed a Fleck 5600TC system to preexisting warranty plumbing at over 3.5x's the wholesale cost. System clock was never set to operate. One month later, plumber returned since there was noevidence of water softening. Plumber stirred salt bin, removed salt pellets, and added more salt. After 5 months, 2 softwater firms gave similar opinions: the plumber had installed an older model mechanical system, failed to set the regeneration time clock, and had not installed a flow meter. We were advised we had been overcharged for an out dated product with neglected set up and follow-up service.
