Work Description: Concrete driveway
Comments: Installed a concrete driveway that cracked within 30 days of being poured have been following up for six months and it’s excuse after excuse after excuse as to why he can’t come fix the driveway. My paperwork specifically shows that there’s a one-year warranty and he will not honor the warranty.

Work Description: New concrete driveway
Comments: This is an update to a prior review. At first the driveway was fine. Within less than 90 days a corner cracked and multiple holes appeared. (exceeding 10) 3 other contractors confirmed it was a bad pour and or curing. Long story short, he has made no attempt to fix it and is yet saying that acid caused the problem. He does not honor his word. I do not appreciate my 4 thousand dollar piece of Swiss cheese.

Work Description: New parking slab area
Comments: Update to my earlier review! !Life happened .
After being contacted by R&D We discussed what was left.
I had moved a large portion of the material already.
He came out and finished up their portion of this project.
One note needs to be added here.
Get the paperwork first...

Work Description: Concrete Flatwork - Addition of a slab
Comments: April 28th. Damon came out to do a quoate for the RV slab work we need done.I wanted a 35' slab and 45 foot from the alley cut out of the yard slope (for the RV overhang) next to the side of the garage.
No problem he says. I can do this in a day.
So I ask my wife how we are going to move money around to pay his quote of $2300.00 Before I know it hes paid in full using the cash app (including fees of $35 - my idea).
We were hoping that since he said he said was a Marine Veteran we would be alright and he would do the job like he said he would.
Nothing in Writing (and Still nothing in writing).
Its no problem. I'll be over in the morning at 8AM.
We worry about this for a bit. But convinced he will follow through we drop it.
Apr 29 at 7:00 am. Phone rings. Its Damon. "Its Pouring rain here. We better wait until Tomorrow".
Its was sprinkling at the job in DeSoto. I told him as much. He still wanted to wait.
Okay, I told him. Same time? I asked. He said yes, 8AM tomorrow. So, Had a slow start. Not raining much on jobsite and it actually stopped by 9AM.
April 30 7:45 AM Damon arrives with his machine. We talk about what I wanted, Again. I pointed exactly to where I needed the slope cut back to. 45 feet, make it in line with this tree.
No Problem he says. I can get that hauled out of here in a few loads. He has a few pieces of 20' rebar with him. Not enough for the slab. Its a start anyway. Or so I thought.
Then he has some issues with Concrete delivery. Seems it wasn't ordered on time. It has to wait a day. Their all booked up. "I called the company but they didn't have it entered in time. So its coming tomorrow".
Then,He calls his guys and tells them not to come. (?) No concrete today he tells them, It coming tomorrow. So they don't come.
Next problem, He's complaining about how much dirt there is that he has to haul away. I can get this load out of here and come back for another in the morning. He starts telling me how far he has to haul it and there will be a line, ect. So he will come back in the morning for another load and get the forms set up to.
That was to his benefit. Damon had not calculated the amount of fill dirt being removed. It is going to take quite a bit more he says. I quoted you for two(2) loads. See you tomorrow. Gone by 3PM. Site not ready, No forms, Nothing else cut out or readied to load when he gets back in the morning.
My wife asks if that's all the rebar. I said no there's more that has to go in. She remarked I thought there would be more required.
He has reminded me often how he "was going to be eating it on this one".
May 1st 8AM Damon is here and cuts out some more slope (Not all though). Fills the trailer again. Still more 4 ' of material there to come out. I tell him I am running to Lowe's to look at block for the retaining wall. He asks If I can pick him up some rebar at Home Depot (?).
I dont use Home Depot I replied. What do you need? I asked. I need about 12 or so 10' sections of rebar. I looked it up on the app while I listened to him talk about how much "extra" material he was having to remove.
I restated that there's no more money until its complete. Then we can talk about extras.
That the norm. Or has all my Years doing this been incorrect? You get half. Then you ask for more if there are extras that need to happen. You most certainly wouldn't ask for more if you've been paid in full upfront. You SHOULD do the job. Then talk about anything that was beyond the quote.
I received a call while at Lowes to recheck the slab dimensions. 45' x 6' like we talked about. "Just making sure" he says.
The forms were installed while I was at Lowes and I had picked him up some more rebar. He had asked me nicely so I picked it up . 16 @ 10' sticks of 3/8 rebar - $70 bucks out of my pocket that he had offered to reimburse me for.
When I returned I offered a compromise on the loads that are left. I asked him to make a pile next to the slope where a low retaining wall will be going for me to use as backfill. Then there would be One, possibly Two more loads to remove. Apply my cost of the rebar to that and let me know the difference. . .
No Problem I heard. Always , no problem. That was the last I saw of him and his crew.
I sent a text to him on May 4, 08:22 hrs
Looking for his email I did not have and asking about the invoice. I told him I had heard him about the overages.
How I was hoping he would finish the job and move this last load. I would need the invoice in order to pay him for these last loads. I told him I had him covered. To let me know.
I received a reply at 13:05 hrs "I'll confirm when I can come back out.
I replied. "OK, let me know:.
"Absolutely" he replied.
Nothing since. 18 days. Silence. ..
No integrity, Did not honor his word or his own quote on the original job.
Would I ever recommend this company?
Never.

Work Description: Driveways/Floors - Repair
Comments: Damon and his team were some of the best I have ever worked with. They were friendly, courteous, and the consummate professionals. They went above and beyond the original scope of work, because it was the right thing to do, but stuck with the original quote for the work. That's something you definitely won't find every day. If there were more than five stars they would still get them all. 100% recommendation with no doubt.
