Work Description: Deck/Gutter/Soffit

Comments: Christian construction did an excellent job repairing our deck/gutter/soffit and power washing our home. After they completed the power washing job and after it dried, I noticed spots on the windows that needed touching up. After contacting Isaiah he came back out to make it right. Isaiah was very responsive to our scheduling requests, notifying me of when the service men would arrive, as well as some additional attention to details regarding the project. The serviceman, were very polite and careful.

Everything came out perfectly and I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
This was an excellent experience from start to finish, we will use this company again.

Work Description: Soffit and gutter repair/replaced

Comments: Had rot in porch roof, soffit and fascia. Job was completed in 1 day, but cost much more than anticipated, some due to material cost, out of their control. They were very knowledgeable and dedicated to getting job done correctly and how we wanted it. Quality of work was exceptional. Big thanks to Tommy, Aaron, and Trey. Only complaint was leaving behind an unexceptable amount of nails and screws in the gravel driveway! Thank you Trey for stayed behind to help us pick them up, but..still finding more! Still not comfortable parking the car.

Work Description: Shed/Barn/Gazebo Repair

Comments: I hired the Christian Renovation Network to do a simple project. Side, place a door, put in some windows and shingle a shed I have been making. I received a quote from them that was 800 dollars higher than another company; however I felt a bit of a connection when talking to the owner of the company.

The short story of this review is the second team they sent completed the job (extremely well); however the first team was horrible and caused damage to items on my property that weren’t associated with the shed. I spent four days working from home to ensure work was being done correctly and I am glad I did. A person incorrectly installing siding and roofing can ruin a structure within as little as a year.

Here are the problems I faced working with the team CRN (Christian Renovation Network) sent out:

The door they installed leakes because it is not properly flashed. The placed siding over top of a door that isn’t water tight!
Showed up a day early to work on a project and trespassed on my property.
They left a large amount of debris on my property every day and did not clean up daily. This resulted in me having to walk my dog at night and during the day because used saw blades, utility knives, and 155 nails were all over my yard.
They damaged my fence by backing a truck into my property and hitting a tarp with wood and tiles under it. The team attempted to hide this by placing scraps of tar paper on the post they damaged and they took the damaged tarp (it has a 5 foot slit in it now) in a corner of the yard allowing the wood under it to be rained on during the week.
The team began shingling the shed before placing the rake materials on the building. This resulted in materials I purchased not being used. They also took it upon themselves to remove material placed on the building without consulting me.
The team began siding the shed before wrapping the walls with a 10 ft tall roll of house wrap I purchased. When I confronted the team and talked to the owner about this the team said that they would remove the corner trim and make sure to wrap the house wrap under the trim. They did not and proceeded with siding the shed.
The team cracked panels of vinyl siding while installing it and were asked to fix the panels several times by Isaiah the owner of Christian Renovation Network.
The team removed a casement window I installed and didn’t remove the bottom screw before attempting to pull it out. This damaged the hardware associated with opening and closing the window.
The team attempted to install 3 reclaimed windows and did a horrible job with it. So bad that you could see light inside the shed through the edges of the window frame. The team claimed that no water would get in. I don’t know if they know how water works. The breeze from winter winds came directly through these quarter inch gaps.
The team cut a 10 foot roll of house wrap in half using a circular saw. The heat of the saw fused the house wrap together. This house wrap was purchased by me.
The team broke a solar lighting system I purchased leaving broken shards of glass on the interior floor of the shed. They also broke the hinge of the solar panel and had the audacity to gorilla tape it back together in hopes that I would not notice.

The team placed finishing nails into a piece of siding to hold it down. This nail is on the front facing side and not under the siding where drainage holes are located.
The shingling job was not as complete as it should have been and it was noted by the second contracting team that was sent out. There was a 2 inch gap toward the top of my roof and the nails for the top row were not covered. The softs were tilted down towards the structure and would have brought water directly into the building.
The team didn’t know how to flash a window or door property by pulling the house wrap into the structure before taping. The way they were doing things would have caused the structure to rot and fall apart in less than a year.
The team damaged a door in order to cut a piece of plywood away from the house. They removed trim from the door instead of removing and placing the door back in.

There are a lot of other things they did that were horrible and I have pictures I will add at a later time.

After many discussions (daily) with Isaiah we came to an agreement and decided the team he sent out was horrible. He wanted to make things right and he met with me on Saturday morning with his master carpenter Shawn. Shawn looked over the work completed and my pictures of the work done by the other team. Shawn stated that the other team did a horrible job and it might take him 5 days to fix all of the issues.

Shawn, Isaiah and I talked for about an hour planning how we could fix the shed and salvage this project that had gone sideways. We all shook hands upon agreeing on what needed to be done and Shawn stated that he would be by on Monday.

Shawn is an amazing contractor. Shawn fixed up every issue with the shed that he could see using techniques that were intelligent. I decided to work from the office after seeing him and his partner work on the project for a few hours. I knew I was in good hands.

If you get the Christian Renovation Network to do work with you request to have Shawn work with you. I wish they would have sent Shawn in the beginning. This review would be 5 stars if that was the case. I gave them 2 stars because I lost out on time, the project cost me 800 dollars more than another, and the project took longer to complete than it was originally quoted at due to the first group of contractors (keep in mind the first group was sent by Isaiah ) being horrible.
