Comments: I'm not interested in about how much it might cost, give me the price!
We give a detailed written proposal for all installations/replacements after visiting the site, talking to the customer about the project, taking measurements and inspecting the existing equipment. For problem/repair calls, we charge a service call/diagnostic fee and then, based upon the diagnosis, we communicate to the customer a flat-rate price for the necessary repair and get the customer's approval before we proceed with the work.
