Comments: ***SCAM ALERT***Do NOT use! All talk with no follow-through. Multiple people use the same contractor licenses so do not be fooled (Lic#: 37116 - Maika’i Masonary Contractor AKA Oahu Concrete Professionals). I found them online and met with Petelo Papalii back in August.
Pete came across very professional and gave me a reasonable quote. We signed a contract for a CMU wall with vinyl fence on top, grading of slope and prep for turf, along with a small concrete pad. He said it would be done in 2 days. It started off OK as they at least finished the CMU wall after a week, then it got really slow and he stopping coming. They finally came back one day and finished the small concrete pad that started cracking within a week of finishing. However, he asked for another payment so he can buy the vinyl fence. They have not come back since and it has been over 2 months. I’m left with an unfinished fence and a pile of dirt in my driveway for the past 2 months. I have learned my lesson but wanted to warn others.

Comments: I dealt with Londene Manu, who was supposedly the owner/contractor with lic. #3716. NOT TRUE - license for Maika'i Masonry is #37117, not as stated on his business card, and belongs to Viliami Uhatafe. After job was completed I received a "Notice Of Violation" from the City. After no satisfaction trying to resolve it, I contacted my real estate attorney, who said I was most probably overcharged by a substantially higher amount for what was done. I have engaged his services to resolve the matter, which involves tripple the cost of the required permit as well as surveying the lot to assure there is no encrochment of adjoining properties. What started as a $19,000 project thus far is $64,500 before attorney's fees. As an 82 year old, I guess I've been had.Mililani HI
