Work Description: Make ceiling fan and light work. No power to switch

Comments: This bafoon does not come himself or send one of his people (if he even has any). He and his son come and shows up 30 min after the original time of 10AM. So at 10:40, he gets out and hears the problem. He does not quote the job, but does assess it by checking ampage on walls (standard). Sees that 120 coming from outlet and from fan but nothing to switch, so after taking fan apart and putting it back together he says "we will need to cut sheetrock and I am not replacing it". I say, Ok, thinking only 2-3 holes and leaving what they take out, no biggie. Note: They forget half their tools, and actually stole my blade from toolbox. So, his son "the apprentice" begins cutting sheetrock from outlet and not checking for a stud, so they do not cut 2-3 holes, they cutg 5 of them. Keep in mind no quote yet.
I go back in, and he tells me that they will have to rig something up from outlet to switch, which at that time, I have to leave. He then tells me that the job will cost $400. I said, "what"? I have $200, I have to leave, if it takes more than the work you have done, then I will give you more later. Fast forward, he calls me back in 30min at 12:29 saying that they are leaving, but the wall switch does not work, and should he put a toggle switch on the fan that has separtate buttons for speeds and light. I said no. He then pesters me withj four phone calls asking when I will pay him the remaining $200?
BTW, the job was not completed when I went back home and then he calls again and again saying he will come by my place to get the $200. I asked politely how he came up with that price for 1.5-2.0hrs of work. He said he charges by the job and not by the hour. I said, I understand, but you work is unfinishe and what you completed took you less than two hours and now I still have to patch holes, and get someone else back out to rewire that which is not finished. He said well the job/work was done and you need to do the right thing or else. I said, explain how you are different than all the hourly rates found online (min $17, max $37 per hour). He said again we work by the job. I said that's over $200/hour for your work, and how did you come up with $400. He said his apprentice sons labor was $150/hour, the travel was $70, and then his rate of experience was the rest $180/hour.
CROOKS!!!
I said, keep the $200, and here is $70 for your cyring get the F out of my life.
