Work Description: Contractor/construction work in my home
Comments: CON-MAN!! STAY FAR AWAY!!!Gilbert Arriaga is a con man. He will tell you lies about all of the experience he has, and how much work he has done in all areas of construction, only to find out that he really has NO idea what he is doing, has no workers working for him, and you will have to do the entire job over again most of the time. He will try to impress you by showing you pictures of a fixture that he changed or a box that he moved, but in reality he does NOT have his contractors license and is only licensed in tile work. Even with tile work, he installed our niches wayy taller than they needed to be, the tile in the niches are not straight, and some of the shower heads are not high enough for the average sized person to stand under the shower.
I hired him to do a full remodel, he had three months to do the work and at the end he didn't even have one bathroom up and running. We just found out that the entire master shower needs to be redone including tile, because of how horribly wrong it was installed originally. He will also tell you he has "guys" for everything, but then either NOT have any guys, or will try to up-charge you 3x the market rate. But don't worry, he will ask for money throughout the way, and lots of it. He will also ask his plumber and other workers to ask you for money for issues that he caused in order to avoid asking you directly. His communication is awful, and he will charge you for things that he never said would cost more, he needs to be babysat, he's sloppy, disorganized and rarely follows up.
We are now having to take legal measures to not only make sure Gilbert is never able to do this to anyone again, and also to get our money back for the work he did that we now have to re-do.
We are also reporting him to the contractor's association because he lied about having a license for work that he did.
I cannot begin to tell you what a horrible experience we had with Gilbert and hope you take this as a warning to not work with him.

Work Description: I had the old tile around the bathtub removed and replaced with a tile that was recommended to me by the company.
Comments: I liked the tile that was recommended to me by the company. The work was completed according to schedule, everyday the employees were on time. The quality of work was excellent and the owner was very accommodating and pleasant to work with. I cannot really comment on the price as I did not seek other estimates. An error of mine was anticipating the amount of dust that was generated from a tile replacement project. The company did do a fair job of cleaning up afterwards.
