Work Description: Kitchen remodel, ramp build, doorway widening
Comments: Kevin took the $27,500 I gave him to do a remodel and spent it. He did have some guys come out and build a ramp for my paralyzed dad, but only after a year of excuses and me nagging him to perform on the contract. I told him I wanted out of the contract and he said no problem, our office will refund your money in two weeks. He ended up driving three or four checks out to my house. But I could never cash the checks because he didn't have the money. It was all for show. Kevin paid back around $13k of my money at random intervals and amounts until he told me he was tapped out and could not pay back any more money. I had to hire an attorney to get his confession of judgement and enter it into the court system. Now I have to hire an attorney to help me apply to get my money back from the MN Contractor Fund.Kevins has MANY theft by swindle charges for his various companies. He has hurt many families and put them in dire financial situations through his irresponsibility. Do not hire this person. The state keeps taking away his business license, but he just has a buddy open up a new LLC and acts as subcontractor. Kevin is really nice and does know what he is doing. I don't understand why he doesn't just do the work. Don't hire him.

Comments: K-Mack construction is unreliable. Started project, but it took three years to get the project completed. Kevin quit on me before the project was completed. I had to hire people he recommended to complete the work. I had to pay subcontractor he had hired to keep them from putting a lien on my property. After the project was completed and I tried to get inspected by the city, I find that he never got a building permit which caused a headache for me.Andover MN

Comments: Kevin and his team were nightmares from the start. He would never show up when he said he would, always gave lame excuses, made promises he never kept and did extremely poor workmanship. Left my deck half completed and never came back to finish the job. He kept stringing me along all summer with false promises, then left me hanging when it was too late in the season to get anyone else to finish. I would give him zero stars if I could.Saint Paul MN
