Comments: Working with Glen and Kiakaha has been a nightmare.He dug a bunch of holes in our yard to install a fence, and then disappeared after we paid a $6,000 down payment. His inability to communicate give me no choice to ask for a refund. He agreed, and then continue to ignore us for months.
After months of trying to get a hold of him and constantly getting ignored. We were able to agree that he would pay $500 per week back. This, of course did not last long as he still owes us over $2000 of stolen money. Contact with Glen began in August and we are now in November. Still trying to get our money back.

Work Description: Retaining wall and fence
Comments: Over promise, under deliver. Repeatedly. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a contractor (and I’ve worked with dozens). Had difficulty understanding even what the job was. We were shocked they thought we wanted a 7 foot retaining wall (to retain 21 inches of dirt). Went with them because their bid was about $5K more than others. We always go cheap and thought not to do it this time. Explained over and over a fence was going on top of the retaining wall to match the other side (which would have made a 1 foot tall fence) with a 7 ft ret wall. Explains why their bid was so much more than everyone else. He thought he was going to be responsible for buying a lot more concrete and rebar. Didn’t lower our cost halfway through when he realized the job is going to be much easier and less expensive. However, Glen did ask us to pay for the concrete delivery and said he’d deduct it from the total when the job was done. We paid $1680 for the concrete and when the job was done (very mediocre job), we forgot to deduct we had paid for the concrete and gave him the full $22K. I texted him the next day when we realized and he said he’d get the money back to us but was out of town. For 2 months he kept saying he’d get the money back but something always came up. Then he bartered with me for just $1000 back of the $1680 he owed us. I was exhausted and said ‘fine’. It’s been a month since then and after another dozen texts he hasn’t given the money back. Stay away from Glen Talivakaola and Kiakaha Construction. The worst.Lehi UT
