Comments: Stay away from this “handy man”. I’m not sure what he is actually good at. Sloppy work, left paint all over my hardwoods, missed full sections, and don’t even get me started on the carpenter skills. We ripped it all out.Bristow VA

Comments: If I could give this guy (Jamie Ortega) negative stars I would. Terrible terrible terrible. We hired him to set a bathtub and tile the walls and on multiple occasions, we had to stop him and have him redo tile because they were either not level, huge gaps between tile, tile in the wall cubby were backward (unfortunately we didn’t catch that one in time) and the cubby in general was not level. He said he used a square but never checked it for being level.After checking things over that night when he left, I noticed the tub drain was not sitting flush. I told him about it the next day but he made countless excuses of why it was ok and tight and that it won’t leak and ran water in the tub to prove it. That night like I told him, there was a leak in the kitchen ceiling. He can back and reset the tub drain and painted the ceiling. But In doing so the over flow shifted (because he cut the pipes too long) and apparently when he pulled (and he had to pull it hard, I was watching) it shifted the drain again, because with the first shower it leaked and water started pouring through the kitchen ceiling.
We called him to tell him about the leak and he said his work was good and that we must have done something to break it.
I could go on for days about how crappy of a job this guy did and that at every turn he was trying to rig up something just to make it work. I’ve hired multiple contractors over the last 20 plus years , but by FAR this guy is the worst, a real hack!!! . Do yourself a favor and DO NOT hire this guy.

Work Description: Plumbing
Comments: Do not use Jaime Ortega. He renovated the tile and tub in my bathroom. Now I have water dripping from my ceiling, both times I have used the shower since he left. He refuses to come out and fix it. He cannot do the plumbing. He says he can do it all, he is not handy. He cut the pipes too long and bent them to try and make them fit. The tile work was terrible, now he is saying that we broke something he did and he won’t come out to fix it. He won’t hire a plumber to fix it. Do not hire him.-
