Comments: We called Infinity Electrical for an after hours call due to our panel and a particular switch being very hot and it kept flipping. I was a worried mom with my son at home. They came out and looked at our panel and the meter and informed us the problem was on Dominion Energy's side and that there was nothing wrong with our breakers. They "tightened" some wires and said everything was good on our end of things. They noted that in our meter box, when the sheath was taken off the wires there was splicing to the wires and that was causing our issues.We naturally called Dominion to come out; which they did and informed us there was nothing wrong on their end the minor splicing to the wires had no effect and it was common when taking the sheath off.
We called our regular electric company we have used in the past and had them out. Again, the breaker box and circuits were very hot. They found two circuit breakers that were completely blown. This was the work they completed:
Found 2x two pole breakers cooked.
Replaced a 20A AFCI.
Swapped a 15A with a customers spare.
Clean torqued all lugs from meter to ground/neutral bars.
Removed main breaker, filed and cleaned contacts, applied electrical anti-oxidation cream and reinstalled with good torques.
Removed all breakers and cleaned paint overspray from the bars and buttered before reinstalling breakers.
Clearly this was not an issue on Dominion's end at all. This was a company that chose not to take the customer's safety at heart. Instead they charged us for an after hours call which did us absolutely no good. They did not perform the services we requested and instead passed the bill.
I called Infinity to request our money back and inform them of what the other company found when viewing our panel. The owner was extremely rude to me, threatened to hang up, etc. Furthermore, the owner definitely remembered us because he asked if I had the husband in the service because he still had his uniform on as he had just got home. As I was explaining what happened and asked how they missed the burnt breakers, the owner hung up on me.
I would absolutely not recommend them.

Comments: Response to scheduling was a little slow. Work was completed as promised with one problem. While drilling a hole for the outlet in the kitchen a hole was created in my living room. I was promised that someone would be there on Monday to fix the hole. Donald called on Monday and said he was at Lowe's picking up the paint for the touchup, but no one came for the repair. I texted Donald on Monday night and let him know that no one came to repair the wall. He told me he would call another guy. One week later I finally tried to fix the hole myself. I texted Donald and ask him if he had the touch up paint and he said he had given it to his guy, but would bring it by the next day. This would have been Sunday. This is Tuesday, no paint, no call, no follow through. Very disappointed. The electrical was completed to my satisfaction, the damage he caused while adding the outlet has not been corrected. Comments: The gentleman "Mr. Donald Buzzard" of "Midlands Handyman Services" was prompt with his appointment and presented himself in a professional manner and told me exactly what he sensed was wrong and charged the price he quoted. "No hidden charges" and that I appreciate more than anything.I was also given a "Veterans or Senior's Citizens discount. No other company I contacted had offered the discount for veterans and being a Vietnam Vet It was so much appreciated.
If ever in need of his type of services I will use "Midlands Handyman Services" and will gladly recommend this company. As well as your services also... Thank you..
