Work Description: Repair water damage in bathroom shower.
Comments: We contracted with Home Improvement of CT, Jeff Joslow, to address kitchen modifications for a new stove installation, repair a granite countertop, and fix a leaking problem we had in the master bathroom shower. The master bathroom shower turned out to be much more complicated than originally thought, adding over $12,000 costs to the original job. The shower was completed to the point where a new door needed to be ordered and hung, the fixtures need to be installed (handles, etc.), and the floor in front of the shower needs underlayment and tile to be finished. Jeff’s installer (Bob) became ill and work slowed to a crawl. Bob eventually packed his tools and did not return, leaving the job incomplete. The shower was not done. Drywall repairs associated with work done in the home were not completed. We were left with cleanup – the tile installed in the shower required scraping to remove the grout that was left for weeks awaiting anyone’s return. The floor of the bathroom and oak flooring to the front door of the house also had grout and mortar, which required extensive cleanup. We were told that cleanup would be done, however, we had to take care of the mess left behind. Additionally, we had to replace a floor tile that was cracked by Bob his installer. Jeff never completed the job for which he was paid in full. Avoid this guy.Enfield CT

Work Description: Jeffrey Joslow did work for my husband and I last year. He never completed the work, even though we had paid for the entire job. He stopped returning calls - he left us with holes in the floor and a shower without a door - we have pictures that show that poor state in which he left our bathroom. He has never refunded any money for a job clearly incomplete. We reported him to the Better Business Bureau. I would strongly recommend that he not be considered for any work because of his dishonestly, poor craftsmanship and lack of reliability.
