Comments: My experience with Gods Workers has been challenging at best. I made an attempt to speak with the Plumber's wife (who I believe handles the communication) and there was very little accountability for their missteps. So, since there was no private accountability taken I will hold them accountable publicly.I reached out to them through Thumbtack and attempted to make an appointment. There was a lot of back and forth, but eventually we were able to get the appointment booked. I reached out via the app, then we spoke on the phone, then I was told to text the number and his wife would confirm. Never heard anything so I returned to the app.
When he got there, he did something that cost us $700 just for him to say that wasn’t the issue and it was something else. It should help “some” but the real issue was still there and it would be another $600 and he would have to cut a hole in the ceiling to repair it. The issue persisted and we eventually reached out to schedule and it was the same of “text this number, my wife will respond” and then days would go by before we could get a clear answer on when and how much.
In fact, over the past few months the only time I recall getting a timely response was in response to me asking to cancel a previously held appointment (schedule conflicts). So we finally have the next appointment scheduled and I said Sunday morning would be best. Finally get scheduled for service between 9am-12pm, so it’s working out (or so I thought). After waiting on them for SIX HOURS, they arrive at 3pm. At this point we’re late for a family function and my partner has to miss the whole thing because we didn’t want to leave them in our home alone.
At the end of the “service” the issue stillllllllllll persists and I’ve spent another $600 to be told that we should’ve told them about the crack (that was just noticed that morning) and they too could’ve noticed just by looking at the tub. But somehow it’s our fault and we’re the reason they were also late to the 4 other clients waiting after us. It was a complete lack of professional accountability and horrible customer service.
I share all of this to say, if you choose to contract their services…do so carefully. My experience from start to finish was horrible, and as a customer I felt like I was nothing but a payday to them. A simple “I’m sorry for the inconvenience” and a discount would’ve rectified the issue, but NOPE. Instead I got blamed for them being late to their other customers. I still got charged FULL PRICE despite the resolution THEY said would work, didn’t. I didn’t call them and say I need XYZ done, I said “this is the issue, can you fix it”. And after all this time, money, and energy the issue still persists.
