Work Description: Replace RR ties w stone, trim shrubs around house, replace wood railing
Comments: He does not deserve 1 star. Look at the photo of the brick walkway w RR ties on brick walkway. Phil was hired by my 96 year old mother. 5/5/24 Arrived & collected$500 cash. Returned w just enough stones to do this one side. They have now sunk & look awful! Stated all $500 had ben spent on these stones & demanded another $500 to complete the job. Left ties on the brick causing a huge hazard. Came back on 5/9 to trim bushes w hand clippers. Did not complete. Did not remove ties.On 5/14 came w friend to remove ties and trim shrubs. Arrived w 1 pair of metal snips and did a hack job on one very old shrub, leaving a mess. Did not complete. Told me his van could not handle weight of ties. I insisted they be removed. One tie was loaded in van. The other was placed at side of driveway & across public sidewalk. After I walked away, I heard him speeding out from my driveway.
He has disappeared, won’t return calls or texts & has refused to give any receipts or sign a receipt of acknowledgment of $1,000 cash. Unless he makes this right, he has committed fraud against a 96 year old blind woman. He needs to refund the cash.
