Work Description: Master bath remodel

Comments: We contracted with Aaron Roth to complete a master bath remodel in March of this year. He took 2/3 of our money (over $4k) but only completed at most $750 of the itemized work to be performed. His employee Cody finished most of the prep work and was pleasant to work with. After that Aaron started showing up to do tile work. He came for a couple hours one day then would work only 30 minutes to an hour. When I discussed this with him, he became angry, sent nasty messages, and pulled off the job. I had to hire another contractor to finish this job. Once Aaron receives the bulk of the contract price, he doesn’t care whether he finishes the job. He also isn’t licensed but will lie and say he is. Don’t hire this thief!!!!!
so jan if we only completed 750 dollars of work how the heck did we even get half the tile up in your bathroom before u didnt like our finished date and decided to fire us and breach the contract which u signed on a milestone draw system which we only request upon completing those items. You do realize that we now have hired a second attorney thats in Nashville who handles arbitrations and specializes in defamations cases like this. So lets do this by the book shall we. read your contract u dont need a state contractors license in TN Only a business license for the work that was performed on your job if the total sum of money collected was 25k or below. we have accounts setup in Madison and Gibson counties for permits etc all the inspectors knows us vary well so before u want to diminish our business reputation maybe u should learn what or how to file for arbitration if you feel u have not broken the contract u signed. Also i might add if this continues i will have no choice but to blast u and all ur personal info like u are doing to us all over the internet so please lets do this the correct way see u in Nashville if u have what it takes to actually file for arbitration like your supposed too soon or keep it up and ill be seeing u plus all our subs really sooner in town :) sometime cedar grove is such a small town

Work Description: Bathroom remodel

Comments: On August 30th, 2023, my wife and I hired Aaron Roth and his company, Fine Finishes LLC, to renovate our master bathroom, which measures approximately 70 square feet. The entire bathroom was gutted, and the renovation took a staggering 13 weeks, finally finishing on December 5th, 2023. His estimated time to for completion was 3-4 weeks. From start to finish, the quality of work was mediocre at best.
Aaron repeatedly failed to show up during the agreed-upon hours of 7 am to 5 pm, often informing us late in the day that he wouldn't be coming. His inability to manage time and prioritize our project was evident as he juggled multiple jobs simultaneously.
Several aspects of the work were substandard. The pony wall with glass was improperly framed and squared, causing a noticeable gap next to the vanity. Insufficient grout in the shower niche led to water pooling, and a similar issue occurred on the shower curb, which was also cut short. Instead of properly cutting the subway tile for the pony wall, a half-inch of grout was used to hide the mistake. Additionally, tiles around the shower drain have already started to fall off.
Despite numerous attempts to have Aaron fix these issues, he has failed to follow through. He has acknowledged the problems via text but has not shown up on agreed dates to make repairs. To make matters worse, he has blocked my wife's number and her social media accounts, effectively avoiding any responsibility for his work.
To follow up, Aaron has blocked me as well from his Facebook business page. He posted a fraudulent review from another business he owns. In the review he posted a picture of another company’s work and claimed it as his own. There is a reason his review have time gaps. He will block those who call into question the quality of his work. He has since deleted his Facebook reviews to hide his negative feedback. Beware if you choose to use him. Also run his name in the Tennessee contractor database and you will not find him. Notice that many of these review are based out of California, which calls into question the validity considering he works in Tennessee. The reality is he will put more effort into deceiving than actually completing the work that he is hired for.
joseph lets talk about the steps we told on filing a claim on the materials u purchased through Schluter we told u at the beginning of the project and at the end when u signed off the job and handed us the check which if you weren't happy .with the project then why do we have a job sign off with your wifes signature on it. we also stated to u that the sheet tile she had us install wasnt going to work for that tiled over drain but insisted on us using it. that pony wall was never framed up by us it was just trimmed down and still to this day is the current timber from the existing building. you were informed that we would have had to do additional framing work which would be a change in time and possible money but your wife who signed the contract and not u didnt want to increase time or pricing so we left that alone and trimmed down the wall added some brackets for better securement and then sent it. if the tiles are failing around te drain then that is a product issue we told you once u had a Schluter rep out there to inspect your materials used ontop of there products and if they deem it to be a install issue then we would address that but we cannot disturb anything until they show up due to not voiding warranty and after multiple texts messages back and fourth and your acts of defamation we blocked u until u get them out there and then send us a email and we will take it from there but if u would like to go to arbitration also then file it in nashville where its held or call the schluter rep like your warranty says before causing yourself more headaches with me coming soon if ur defamation continues i will blast all your personal info like u have been doing me and we can handle it anyway u choose professional or non professional in public etc your choice let me know if u ever want to meet up somewhere to discuss this way more in detail

Work Description: Full home renovation

Comments: We hired Aaron Roth of Fine Finishes for a full remodel of our home in November 2023. We were moving to a new state and we were living out of town during this entire experience. Initially Aaron was very personable and we felt we made the right choice. That feeling quickly vanished right after I signed the contract. He began harassing us for the first payment immediately. Our contract was milestone based, with payment to be made for the following milestone, demo, drywall, painting, etc. Aaron led us to believe the home was farther along and would send pictures that made it look like work was being completed. We made a total of 3 payments over the course of 3 weeks. Upon speaking with our electrician, he indicated that what we were led to believe wasn’t true. We spoke with Aaron and advised further payment wouldn’t be made until work was caught up. We went along for about a week and a half, until Aaron started asking for more money, indicating he had a trailer payment to make and employees to pay. Once again we reiterated, no further payment would be made until work was caught up. A few hours later there was a disagreement regarding the drywall texture that was supposed to be removed and I advised I would like to consult my attorney regarding the contract. He became completely unhinged. He continued to harass, threaten and call me the C word by text message. We advised Aaron that he was not to enter our property, immediately we were told he would do what he wanted because he was under contract. At this time, we advised we would be calling the Sherrif’s department to ensure he didn’t enter our property. A couple of days later, we received a photo from his partner Corey showing our expensive material by the street placed there by Aaron. My husband drove 8 hours the next day to our home to retrieve the material and found the demo wasn’t even complete. The entire experience has been the single worst of my life. Afterwards, we have come to find out this contractor has a revoked LLC as of 2022 in the state of TN and doesn’t appear to ever have been registered as a contractor which is a law in TN. Both of which he bragged about having several times. I have also come to find out there are several others with the similar experiences. My review is a summary of the important facts and I could go on for days regarding the constant conflict and abuse from Aaron that existed during the time we were under contract. I do not recommend Aaron at Fine Finishes.
hey Melissa lets talk about the real details here first off you signed a contract with our business license number which we are not required to have a state TN License. secondly we provided bond certs etc so if our business wasnt legit how the hell did we get a state bond issued? bond#100627415 https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/aiu7kj9i72aeuxn1xc5z4/Fine_Finishes_LLC_Bond_100627415.pdf?rlkey=1uxzlomw7lbr43tp47lf2h0j3&st=drd8i0nj&dl=0 posted a link straight from state 3rd we let u know in the beginning that we were going over our monetary limit and a change order after the contract was signed would be issued to reduce the work and or either price reduction which u then signed and we have a copy of that document for the arbitration which our specialist in Nashville has taken over for arbitration hearings and defamation. you still havent even filed which you are obligated to due under the contract you have no choice but to do so you cannot sue in court you must do arbitration. 4th we allowed u to use our subs to save yall alot of money and to not brake the project into long fazes which i spent hours correcting the subs scopes of work when that was supposed to be your job as they were being paid by yall directly and you were supposed to be onsite for any questions they had but failed to do so. 5th you decided to fire after we got mid way through and into the drywall finished stages pictures for proof in text messages and if needed i can make a public drop box with the contract u signed plus all the pictures and messages u sent etc all your info will be shared btw so i advise u to keep to yourself from here on out. but you fired us due to us not backing down to doing free work u wanted us to sand all your ceilings in your entire house which was detailed which areas in your house will be worked on etc etc really well and it was even stated and signed in the contract which of those areas were to e done. if you didnt read the contract well enough it was vary detailed with many line items etc your electricians and one call restoration held us up many times in completing our job which you were never back charged . so we are now waiting on u to submit the correct arbitration paperwork if u so call have the bravery to do what your supposed to do but from here on out everything your posting online is being recorded and a defamation care in nashville with the arbitration. so keep it up u may see us and our full crew sooner if u want to keep defaming us online but since u haven't done the actual thing u need to do which is see us in arbitration then everything u say is here say until a judgement is made once u win which you wont as u breached the contract then u can post your experience online. but until then i suggest to keep that trap closed if u want to have a pleasant experience when we ever meet again :)
