Work Description: Install new Sheetrock, repair minor tape and bed In Sheetrock, texture and paint
Comments: Buyers and new customers BEWARE. I had wet and damaged Sheetrock in my garage, bedroom, and master bathroom from the recent freeze, I contacted Jose, the owner of the business . After he arrived to my house and looked over the project he quoted me $5500, which included $700 for painting outside window trim. Jose DID NOT mention anything about the amount being labor only. From many of my experiences, would indicate if there’s an additional charge for material. Prior to the set date for the company workers to come out, I called Jose and mentioned that I also would need installation placed prior to Sheetrock being installed, and Jose said “buy the installation and I’ll put in for you” so we agreed to do so when the workers were here so I can buy the installation and load it on their truck. Upon their arrival I went to home depot and Jose followed me there with his truck. At Home Depot we loaded the installation on carts and on my way to pay for it, Jose said that I needed to buy the Sheetrock and material. I then responded that he did not mention anything about buying the Sheetrock before. Jody then replied “if you don’t want to buy it I’ll pull my guys out (of the project)” Being in a bind that I was in, I agreed to pay for all the material on top of his initial quote. This is so dishonest and price gouging . Aside for this, the crew DID NOT completely cover my furniture, countertops or floors. To make matters worse, they dented the top of our clothes dressers in our master bedroom. These people are the most unethical, dishonest, and careless workers I’ve ever experienced.
