Work Description: Driveway replacement and expansion
Comments: We found Davis Healthy Basement Solutions through thumbtack three years ago to replace our driveway. After taking a down payment for half of the amount, lying about obtaining a permit and tearing up our property he was fired. We went through the Ohio Attorney General to sue him in a class action lawsuit and obtained a judgement against him but have yet to receive a dime. I don’t know how this man is still in business.Marion OH

Work Description: Replace concrete in front of garage
Comments: First of all he came the day I hired him as he needed half down and to sign concrete. The job was suppose to be done on Monday 9/10/2018. Everyday he gave excuses as to why he could not come. Finally on Friday 9/14/18 he came to do the job after I threatened to sue if my money was not refunded. He apologized and said he would have done that day. He came unprepared and even borrowed a hammer from me. He sat most of the time while his “son in law” jackhammered the concrete and then they added concrete but had jackhammered my asphalt driveway without repairing it. Do not hire this man! You will be very sorry as I am. Afterwards I checked the BBB which he has a score of F and has been revoked. He is a liar and his work is terrible. Now I have to deal with fixing my driveway. By the way he cashed your check the day you pay him.Galloway OH

Work Description: Driveway, sidewalk, walkway replacement
Comments: Our job was to start July 31st, actual start date was August 24th. Our job was to last 3-4 days, he was fired on day seven after damage to our yard, damage to our drainage system, damage to our neighbor's driveway, "accidental removal" of city apron and sloped curb and damage to city street at the end of our driveway. Removal of driveway consisted of two men with jackhammers and five gallon buckets to haul the blacktop pieces and concrete to a dumpster parked in the street in front of our house. This process alone took four days. There were many excuses about equipment not being available or at different job sites, delaying the job once it was started and already torn up. He was fired after learning that he never retained a permit after lying to us and saying he had gotten one. We have also learned that due to a recent law, we must apply for a variance which will cost another $400 for the application fee and a MONTH to get approved. Bottom line is we will have a torn up yard, driveway, sidewalk, walkway and no steps to our front porch for a minimum of a month and a half and it will cost us double his entire job price to have his mess fixed. We paid him half for the job up front and he had the nerve to threaten to sue us for the other half for "breaking his contract." *The caution tape in the pictures was placed by us, the job site was left unsafe each and every day they worked.Galloway OH

Comments: BEWARE of Davis Healthy Basement Solutions!!! I don't know how Angie's list has a rating of an A or how Thumbtack has "verified" good reviews for this company (which is how we found them). They were hired to tear out, replace and extend our driveway, tear out and replace our front walk and tear out and replace our front step. Comments: Jeff Davis’s work was unsatisfactory. I had to go to an arbitrator to get our deposit back. We won our case but Jeff Davis never paid. Had Sheriff Dept. issue a summons to Jeff Davis to come to court but Jeff Davis shunned the law and did not show. Attempting to retrieve our deposit through a collection agency.
