Work Description: Toilet Fill Valve Replacement
Comments: Always get 2-3 estimates for repairs. I made the mistake of getting estimates after this service repair. Dave The Plumber charged $274 for a toilet fill valve replacement. I called Larry and Sons who advised they need to come out to give specific pricing but gave $180-200 estimate. Angi gave $180 estimate.The 5-minute fill valve replacement bill breakdown is:
$40 dispatch fee
$135 fill valve *(typically $25-$35) part*
$99. Hook supply (labor)
Women especially, should avoid merchants who over overcharge like this. You can't trust that because someone runs a local small business & are friendly they are going to be fair with pricing. It's really sad.
I have contacted the merchant to inquire about the part cost & will update this review if there was a typo or some other mistake in pricing once I receive a response to my call and text.

Work Description: Snake out kitchen drain line to remove clog & replace sink strainer to fix a leak when the sink was full of water.
Comments: Dave was the only plumber to call me and his price quote was reasonable for the work to be done. He arrived early, was very courteous & professional and corrected both of my problems. He answered all my questions and provided advice and suggestions on future plumbing needs that I may have. Work Description: Provide estimate for cleaning drain hose, fix toilet and fix shower leak.
Comments: Arrived almost an hour after original appt., but did call to say would be late. Charged $200 to fix toilet leak which consisted of replacing tube and a few of the internal parts -less than $40 of parts and took about half hour which means charged over $150 for half hour -at $300 hour -definitely overpriced. Would never hire again or recommend, Quality not rated since will need to see how long it lasts. Did not hire to do other items on list. Felt way overpriced on estimate.Williamsport MD

Work Description: The contractor was on time, inspected what was required to replace 2 leaking valves and drain the hot water tank, wrote itemized prices for each before beginning work, performed all tasks using parts from his truck, cleaned the workplace, requested an inspection of his work before receiving payment, and answered all questions.
Comments: We will direct all our future plumbing needs to this company.
