Comments: I put this on google as well:We found Dassow and Sons via HomeAdvisor when we looked to replace our 17 year old Kenmore 40gal water heater. Dion responded to our request for information within 24 hours.
We shopped him versus two other plumbing services. Dassow and Sons carry two brands of contractor grade products. I appreciated his knowledge of products to compare with models of a lessor quality sold by Lowes, Menards, and Home Depot. You get what you pay for. I wanted contractor-grade products since you can find parts without a hassle.
Dion quoted prices for a 40 gallon and 50 gallon water heater. His prices were competitive and $200 less than the next guy for the same Rheem model.
The estimated 2-hour installation was scheduled for the same week. Dion and his son showed up early since their previous job in the area did not take them long. I can see why. Their time spent on our job was only an hour and a half. Our full basement was easy for them to get in and out of. the hardest task for them was knocking off the cheap plastic drain valve that was clogged with sediment. With the valve off, the sediment deposits and water went down the floor drain.
The new heater was up to speed with nice hot water within two hours.
I asked other questions about annual maintenance and pipe insulation that Dion kindly answered as he worked.
Dion and his son worked professionally and quickly on our heater replacement. But they did not skimp or rush anything. The soldering on the feed and outlet pipes was well done. The whole effort went very well.
We had a very good experience dealing with Dassow and Sons.

Work Description: We needed a toilet replaced. They removed the old one and installed the new one.
Comments: We are very pleased with Dassou & Sons.They called to tell me that they could come earlier. They were very respectful of our home.We are in our late 60s so we couldn't bring the toilet we purchased in but they said no problem. They set the new one on the porch & unboxed it there, bringing in the pieces one at a time. They removed the old toilet and disposed of it for us. They cleaned up the area when they were finished all under an hour.
We are so pleased with their work ethic that we are going to have them replace our old bathtub with a shower unit.
We would highly recommend them and already have to several of our neighbors.
