Work Description: 6 inches Concrete foundation for storage building - Install
Comments: The contractor has crew with speaking so little English. They did not follow my design sketch. Have very poor equipment. First day, Spanish worker removed grass for all they long because the worker had to remove by hand. Worker install a form with 4" and I told him it supposed to be 6 inches slab, the form was only 4 inch so I told the owner they need to make it 6 inches. The owner add 2 inch wood in the bottom of 4 inch wood form. First, the worker did not want to nail it but I told them it need to nail it other wise concrete will come out from the form. The form was installed very bad. Some of the grass was still on the ground and I told worker clean all grass out but he did not do a god job so I had to do it myself. The day before starting, the owner brought junk of old concrete and look so ugly and the size about 4 to 6 inches and I asked him what he was going to do with the old concrete and he said he will use it to mix with new concrete and I said you will not ever mix old junk concrete to my foundation. He was complaining that the price was too low and I told him I specified in the e-mail so contractor can give the price to customer. The owner was so angry with me and I was so angry with him and I asked him stop saying many things to me and if he will not stop I will call the police and he kept quite. The next day, he brought another El Salvador's worker and he was very bad and had very bad attitude toward me when I told him that was the right how to do it and he threw so many gravel all over my yard. They start working to mix the concrete on concrete mixing machine. They threw the gravel in the machine but it was falling off every where and the same as cement. I finally had enough with El Salvador's worker because he say bad thing to me so many word so I ask him to leave my property and he went outside and sit outside. My son was notice that he was taking my car picture but I did not ask him. The owner should not allow this type of worker to work for him and he looks dangerous. The way how they operate mixing concrete mixing machine was so bad and tip over so many time because they put too much water and I told them they need to put little by little water until it mix very good. This contractor had no clue to how mix the concrete and no idea what is right and what is wrong. They gave up on the machine and they mix by hand on the wheel barrel. Sometime they put too much water and sometime they put little water and when they pour the concrete it was so bad because it was so hot on that they and the concrete was dried so fast. It was a nightmare the concrete was leaking from the side of the form and get real hard because I had to clean all concrete around the form and it took me two days to clean it up. I also have to pull the form out myself because I do not want to see this contractor in my property anymore. I should have filed a dispute to BBB of Houston for the way they work and brought a dangerous worker to my property. This contractor should not be listed in your business. I should have taken pictures or video during they were working and send it to you so you can see how bad it was. I am still cleaning the gravel on the my yard because of the El Salvador's worker. He had very bad temper. Around the concrete slab, there are many pockets so I have to buy sand and soil to fill it up because the water may run through and damage the slab during its rain. I wish I never hire this contractor and I made a wrong decision and hope you do the same by removing from your business.Katy TX

The concrete began to crack two days later, he then came out a put some form of sealer on it but it was a different color, not to mention the patio being uneven. He left his backhoe at my house until I threaten to have it towed away and he dodged my calls until I threatened legal action. I would not recommend this guyHouston TX

Comments: Daniel really surprised me! I was left hanging by my previous concrete contractor who was supposed to pour my patio two week before Christmas but called the Monday before Christmas to say he could not do the job until after the first of the year, knowing that I had 65 people coming for a family Christmas dinner. Daniel called me made arrangements to met and discuss the job on Wednesday knowing that I was in a time crunch, not only showed up as scheduled but with a crew ready to start. We aggreed on price and start/finish time and he delivered as promised! My patio was poured, completed and the site cleaned up in time for my family Christmas dinner! Thanks to Daniel my family had a beautiful concrete patio to sit on to feast instead of the mud pit the previous contractor left me with. Thank you Daniel! You made our Holidays! I would recommend Daniel to anyone that asked and WILL have him back to do several other concrete projects that I want to complete.
