Work Description: I had a ceiling fan fixture stop working and D&R came out the next business day, on time, and with the spare time left in the service call, installed a dining room chandelier.

Work Description: Replace plug in bathroom

Comments: $194.00 to replace one plug is outrageous your employee spent less than one half an hour to find the problem, replace the outlet, and write the bill. I was not told beforehand what the charges would be either by the electrician or by the operator who took my call. Needless to say I will not be using your company in the future. I can't afford you.
I am sorry you feel the charges are high. We actually have very few issues with the rates we charge. We are actively involved in many business organizations in our community and have a friendly relationship with many of our competitors. We are aware of what they charge as they are aware of our pricing. We all strive to be as competitive as we can with each other. Most of our new customers as well as many customers who have been with us for years, find our pricing to be quite reasonable. We would not be in business in this day and age if they were not. We do not compete with handyman services, or folks who operate from their home or garage. We are a professional company who pays our employees competitively, provide health care and other benefits. The reason we do this is to attract and keep more qualified, more professional individuals. Our company carries much more than the state required insurances. I'm sure you understand, these are all things that cost money but benefit each and every customer. Having said that, we are still very reasonably priced among other established professional companies. I don't know how much time the electrician actually spent at your home but he had to drive there, troubleshoot the problem, and make the repair. The problem was not a tripped breaker, or a switch off, it was a faulty part that was in need of replacement. It was because of his experience and competence that the faulty part was found and repaired quickly. As you are also aware, we responded to your service call within hours. I am glad you were happy with the service and our quality. After our very short phone conversation, we offered you a discount and to refund the discounted amount. We care about our customers and how they feel regardless of the amount they have spent. I don't know why you would not take our discount after you have expressed your unhappiness about price?

Comments: We have been working with them for many years already, they are very quick to respond to our needs and are excellent at what they do.
