Work Description: Examine cement driveway due to questionable job performed by previous contractor. Provide an estimate for necessary repairs or replacement of driveway poured August of last year.
Comments: D & D Services arrived exactly on time as agreed to during my telephone conversation with their represenative. They were very quick and professional in identifying the bad as well as the correct parts of the prior contractor. The cement driveway has a lot of cracks which apparently were acceptable, however, they identified a number of cracks that should not have been there due to incorrect pouring and finishing techniques. The two men indicated that the repair of the cement driveway required the total removable of the cracking driveway. They stated they would put in and finish the driveway in a professional manner using the correct type of cement. The quote given to me was higher than expected, but if you want the job done right, it goes without saying that quality is not always cheap. Because of the cost, my wife and I have been talking to each other to determine if we could afford the cost quoted. If we were to hire this organization we would be forced to get a home equity loan to pay for it. I hope we will be able to come to a decision that will either be a yes, or an unfortunate no.
