Comments: WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. STAY CLEAR OF THIS ONE. I spoke with them after being referred to Alex and Roberto from http://www.plumberinoakland247.com/ at (510) 398-4348. I then was talking and texting (510) 274-3085 starting no Thursday, 3/11 afternoon. They had wanted to set-up an appointment for 8:30AM. My tenant thought that was too early, so they said they could come by later. I followed up after I didn't hear from them in the afternoon and was told to communicate by text message. They said they were very busy today and could come tomorrow morning. I confirmed 9AM-12PM per my tenant's availability and to ensure he didn't propose returning too early again. He requested my address, after I provided it to him I confirmed that I would receive a free estimate as advertised.He then told me it's not free, the estimate meant visible estimate and not a diagnostic. He then told me to please go and look for another plumber. I'm trying to be compassionate and I understand many of us are busy and stressed with work and life right now. However, this has been part of an on-going problem for nearly a week due to a natural gas leak. We had called PG+E who came out earlier yesterday, Thursday, 3/14 to check out all the gas lines, shut them down, pressurized them, and determined the source to be from the kitchen sink possibly coming up from the sewer and advised me to call a plumber. That's when I reached out to this company for assistance and explained what had happened. I had reached out to another plumber who would have been able to come at the same time, but I told him that I would wait since I had thought I would be receiving a free estimate for the work. So, now I need to try to re-schedule with that other plumber who was referred to me.

He found the drain trap needed to be replaced but didn't ask if I wanted to let him fix it. I would have paid for the extra work. So now I have to get down there and fix it myself. Comments: Contractor investigated quickly and did not try to waste time; tried several solutions w/o success and said would have to return the next day. He included the work already done under the free estimate, and quoted a price that was very good. The next day, members of his staff arrived and fixed the problem.
