Comments: We called Carmello to help with a bunch of accumulating jobs about our house--from window repair to replacing squirrel eaten outside trim to painting and repair of exterior walls (and garage door) and fixing drainpipes and gutters. He also repaired light fixtures and smoke alarms and trimmed trees overhanging our roof. Carmello (and Jen) came quickly and worked efficiently and promptly. We are very satisfied with his work and his work ethic. And we found the cost of his work to be reasonable and fair. We will always turn to him first if we need future work done on our house. His skills are multidisciplinary and his talents are enviable.Durham NC

Comments: I had an attempted entry and it took two weeks to find and get someone to help me. Carmelo was on time, polite, and nice. He made sure my door would close properly, plus made sure all screws were tightened. He informed me of what he was doing. I mentioned looking for a security system and he suggested one and offered to install it after I investigated different systems. He liked to talk while he worked; which was okay, I tend to talk while I work. I would hire him for any other project.Cary NC

Work Description: Repair or Alter a Chain Link Fence
Comments: I originally hired Carmello to repair a fence, which he did. Then I found out that he was able to do some other things I needed done in two rental houses that I was renovating. Carmello refinished the 2 rental houses for me and I couldn't be happier with his work. He is an amazingly hard worker, (to the point where I had to tell him to take a day off) He has come up with wonderful solutions to sticky issues with the houses. He will try to do his best to save you money on your job. For example: I had two windows in a bed room that only opened onto a laundry/mud room. The windows didn't open and needed to be replaced. We talked it through, and decided to expand the room by taking some of the large laundry/mud room and making it a small office connected to the bedroom. Rather than replace the windows, I thought it would be nice to have french doors from the bedroom into the new office. He went and found two left french doors (from one of the resale stores), for a quarter of the price of a set of french doors from a Lowes or Home Depot, and converted them into a lovely set of working french doors. He did a fantastic job. He then put in a pocket door (rather than spending a lot of money on a pre built door, he framed the pocket and built the door) so the office could open up onto the laundry room as well. The door works perfectly. I found that part of the floor was "soft", he showed me what the issue was, and we discussed what had to be done before he undertook the repair. There had been some old termite damage to the joists and cross beams and they were obviously in bad shape (hence the "squishy" floor). Since the crawl space is so small (I'm surprised a termite could fit in it!) He removed the floor and went into the crawl space from inside, put that part of the house on jacks and repaired the damage with new joists and crossbeams, replaced the floor and it is now solid as a rock. He did a beautiful job. He is a very straight forward guy and will always show you what the problem is before starting any big repairs. His prices are fair, he is extremely capable, and works very hard and is willing to put in long hours to get the job done. I have yet to find something he can't do!!! I've hired him to take care of my properties and I feel totally confident that he will continue to do fabulous work. Also, he's a perfectionist. If it's not right, he won't let it pass, it will be redone. I can confidently recommend him with an A+ rating. If you need work done, Carmello (CF Handyman) is the guy to do it.Cary NC
