Comments: They charge a $49 fee just to quote an estimate. Technician quoted $439 to install a valve to the cold water line from the sink for a refrigerator water/ ice dispenser. When asked why so high, the technician stated it was because he had to shut off the water.I researched the cost of this job prior to his visit and by all accounts the highest cost was $127.
I told the technician that I would get service elsewhere. I bought the kit from Home Depot for $8.92 and a contractor did the labor for $75.
Unless you like to be ripped off- do not use this company. They are not honest and attempt to take advantage of their customers.

Comments: Initially tried to charge a $49 fee to personally review the job but "waived" the fee once I stated that I did not want to pay a fee. Obviously pretended that the job was complicated and quoted a price of $439. My research beforehand showed that it should not cost more than $127. When I expressed this, the technician stated that he had to shut off the water to put the valve in. This was the only explanation as to why it cost so much to do a simple valve installation. I told him that I would find service elsewhere.Later I received a receipt for the estimate. This receipt simply listed the total for the job but not how they arrived at the price. I called and inquired about this receipt and how they calculated their cost and was bluntly told that they go by a flat rate and not by an hourly rate. I asked again how their rate was calculated and again told that it is a flat rate.
Question is, how do you get the flat rate ? There must be some sort of list of your pricing? How else could you state a rate? Very poor business ethic.

Comments: Use this company at your wallet's peril. The job was done okay but it is the business practices of this company that disturb me. I called and described the problem. I asked for an estimate of what a snaking might cost if that was needed. I was told it was dependent upon the extent of the job. I should have known then there was a problem but I needed to have someone show up that day. When the technician got here and gave me an estimate, I was in shock. $350 for the snaking and they couldn't guarantee it would work. I also had to pay $50 for them just showing up (which I knew). When I asked why so much, he said there were fixed prices Essentially, I was told one thing by the office and when the plumber arrived, I was hit with a huge potential costs. As I had already told the second plumber that I had already filled the job, I was stuck.The whole job took maybe 30 minutes to identify and complete. The tech was good but he left black marks on the walls where his machine hit. He never mentioned that.
I will never use again.
