Comments: Wayne Houston arrived an hour and a half late (I had been emailed by his office manager Renee that he was running 30 minutes late). He and his helper got the job done rather quickly and it looked good, but it rained that night (Renee had warned him that it would rain that night rather than the following day), so it was not dry within 24 hours, and I was not warned (supposedly Renee called the next day, but I did not get the call or a voicemail), plus the driveway was covered in white streaks, which Wayne said was caused by too much sand in the mix, so it would have to be redone. When I got home that evening with a trunkful of groceries around 8 PM, the driveway still wasn't completely dry, so I got tar on my shoes (I was wearing a surgical shoe on my right foot due to a broken bone a new Skechers shoe on the left foot, so I was miffed, and had nothing else that I could wear, as ordered by my podiatrist, so I ended up brushing, scraping and digging tar out of the treads by hand). Wayne sent a different helper the following Monday (a week later) to reseal the driveway (no rain was in the forecast) and the mix seemed to be fine. But, I discovered that evening while I was picking up dead wood in my yard that the previous helper had broken the metal end of my hose and the nozzle inside of it, making them both useless for the purposes that I use them for, so I sent Renee an email complaining about it, and a couple of days later, she brought me a better replacement hose and nozzle and a bottle of solvent to remove the tar from my shoes. I'm not sure that I would rehire this company considering all the problems from the beginning--a lack of communication and a disregard for keeping on schedule and unreliable help among them.Culpeper VA

Work Description: Resealed My Driveway
Comments: Wayne Houston with Hot Mixx came out with a helper last Monday and resealed my very old driveway which had some cracks and buckling. He said it should be dry in 24 hours. I said that I had to go into town for groceries the next day and had to be able to unload the trunk in the driveway that evening. Well, it rained unexpectedly Monday night, so the driveway was not completely dry by the following evening, plus it had white streaks all over it, so Wayne said he would come back on the next dry day. I got black gunk on my shoes which I tracked into the kitchen unknowingly Tuesday evening, making a lot of work for me to clean them. A helper and the office manager showed up the following Monday and in less than an hour, resealed the driveway again (there is no rain in the forecast for the next 4 days). I asked about the solvent for my shoes, but neither of them had brought any.Vienna VA

A Lad from the crew stopped by to offer Me a business Card as He Saw Me at the End of My Drive Watching them Work, i Asked them after they were finished to give Me Quotes for different options as We are on a Budget For Our Driveway, also Needed Bad Repair or Replacement. The Owner of the company showed up after they Quoted Me, & Knocked off Another $1,200 off the New Drive Way, He said it was the 3rd Driveway They had done that Day, and since all His Equipment was already there and He still Had enough Materials to Finish Mine... He Fit Me in! SAME DAY.. Extremely Happy, and paid a lot less then we Expected..Chantilly VA

It is my opinion that HOTMIXX ASPHALT PAVING will be here for years to come. They gave me an excellent price, and the work comes with a full one year warranty. I'm glad that after the screening process, HOTMIXX came out on top. The guys are craftsmen,not laborers. Their product is artwork not just construction.
