My family and I are living in a camper this Christmas while you take my money and open up a new business. The mold work you did was unfinished, you knew this when we sat in the conference room. You knew my wife's health problems. You knew the job wasn't finished but you closed the business and withdrew all of the money from American Pride Services checking account. My job was not finished. Comments: Things started out great with American Pride of Crossville, TN. Owners surveyed project to extend 60'x60' covered horse ring, replace a loft deck with larger covered deck, install 16'x16' covered pool bar, add 800sq/ft concrete to existing pool deck, clean and stain all concrete.problems started when 1st crew's framing was sub-standard and project manager ordered it torn down and rebuilt. Things progressed okay for a couple of weeks when crews started to show up sporadically. One crew quit the company midday and pulled off. A 3rd crew was brought in to try and finish the project and this crew has since left American Pride. A 5-week project is not in it's 16th week and still only about 60% complete with my pool patio in shambles. Crews cannot get materials on site and get frustrated. We had already paid for most of the work that has yet to be completed and owners have not been to the site since early Sept.
My feeling is that American Pride is having cash-flow issues and cannot afford to get materials on site to complete the project and the crews get frustrated or fed up and quit.
We are working with American Pride to get this project finished, but will never hire them for another project and definitely do not recommend them for any substantial renovation or build project. I think our project was just too much for them to handle and they don;t have the funds or manpower to complete it in a timely fashion.
The covered deck and pool bar are built very well and I have no problem with their actual construction - it is just that they promised to not pull off the job until it was completed (by end of August), but that promise lasted just 1-week. Now we have to continually ask where crews are and if they are coming and what will they be doing. They have missed every single (self-imposed) deadline or completion date given.
Pest control or foundation work - I do not know their reputation, but for new builds or renovations - we do not recommend hiring American Pride. If you are thinking about using them - ask them for the Dunlap, TN deck/pool bar/patio project reference and see what they tell you.
