Work Description: Wood Floor Refinishing and baseboard molding replacement
Comments: They went through my personal belongings to find a frying pan that was packed away in one of my rooms that did not even have a hardwood floor in it. They made eggs with my pan and my eggs, left a mess on the stove and floor, and didn't even clean the pan, but hid it back in the room where they got it from.Stain was splashed on the walls, floor tile, doors and door knob. Sanding dust was all over everything because they did not close doors that they opened nor did they tape plastic over anything to contain the dust.
They used my tools that were packed away under the stairs, again they went through my belongings, and they used my calking that was stored away with my tools. My tools that they used had stain and calking on them. They did not even try to hide the fact they were using my things.
The molding that was replaced was not cut to proper size in places and even had about a quarter inch drop in one spot where they failed to make the trim meet, but they still put calking on it. I called the owner of the company to come back and fix the molding and to clean the stain off of my walls, door knob and such, which he said he would when he came to do my basement floor. I haven't seen or heard from him since he was paid for the main level floors. They also dumped the sanding dust right in my front yard next to my front door, so there are piles of sanding dust there now.
The initial main level floor job was a total strip and refinish. The owner of the company said he was going to trowel the entire floor with filler but he didn't.
I tried to get him to come back so I could discuss everything but he didn't answer my call or text. I was even nice enough after all this to pay $600 over his estimate.
This guy has the potential to do great work, but obviously can't be bothered to care about other people's homes and belongings.
