Comments: Mr. Garza responded to my request for assistance immediately. He showed at the time he said he would, and early. And quickly went to work diagnosing the electrical problems I was experiencing. He tested for Amperage and Voltage, and was able to determine in a quick manner exactly where the problem was. To my amazement, he determined a breaker at my Main Panel had burned. He replaced that breaker and a GFCI in my kitchen area, and my appliances and power was restored. A true professional of his trade, and highly knowledgeable. Excellent service from him and Alamo Electric Designs. Its good to know there are still A+ contractors out there. Comments: These men blew me away. They called while I was still filling out the info on the site & came within an hour on Memorial Day weekend. I called since my pool pump kept faulting my GFCI plug. They troubled shot every possible reason & even thought outside the box trying the fix the issue. In the end after showing them the pump discrimination from where I bought it discovered they sent me the wrong pump that was 115V/230V which was too much even with a dedicated line with nothing else on it.

Comments: We have been having issues with our master room closet light and two outlets. Everytime we would turn the closet light on the power to the closet and outlets would turn off. I inquired about an electrician through Powell and sons and John from Alamo electric designs was the first person to call me back and so I scheduled an appointment with him. He arrived at the scheduled appointment time and took the time to listen to the concerns and assessed the situation. He tested all the outlets in the master room and the closet light. What he discovered were loose wires in the outlets and they were connected to the closet light source. All he did was tighten the wires and it solved the issues. He wanted to make sure the breaker was working correctly so he took the time to open the breaker pad and tested the conduction and all was in working order. He called the next day for followup . Everything the company works on has 1 year warranty! John was super professional easy going and very knowledgeable! Will definitely call alamo designs for future issues!

Comments: We recently had a small addition built, by someone who handled the entire process. He was fired, and someone else finished the project for us. Anyway, the first guy had already done the electrical work, which we soon had problems with. We called Alamo Electrical Designs to arrange for someone to come out, and evaluate things. First off kudos to the company for sending someone that day, (which pleasantly surprised us)., and they arrived within an hour or so.John Garza was the electrician they sent, he is the Field Operation Supervisor, and we quickly learned why. After discussing the problems we were experiencincing John went back right to work. He was able to determine where the other contractor had made mistakes, which he pointed out to us as he went, and promptly went to work correcting those mistakes. He was very thorough in the work, great at explaining what was going on, and now we know everything g is up to code, and our family is safe. John Garza helped to restore our faith in contractors, when you find the right ones.I highly recommend Alamo Electric Designs, and hope you get the pleasure of working with John Garza for any of your electrical needs. Comments: GREAT JOB BY ALAMO ELECTRIC DESIGNS! Our electrical panel was running hot, due to a substandard job done by the electrical contractor, who was being used by our builder. The wires behind the circuit panel were a huge rat's nest - VERY SLOPPY, CARELESS work, to put it bluntly – which resulted in an overheated panel, circuits tripping, breakers going bad, and an unreliable electrical system in our house.
For a very reasonable price, way undercutting the bids we had – I mean put them to SHAME (only about 25% of the highest bid), we have a panel that looks like it was wired by a pro – because it was. One look at the wiring speaks volumes. It is clear it was done with great care. After more than 6 hours of tedious work by two professionals, John and Jesse, we now have an electrical panel (with 42 circuits), that is barely warm to the touch (normal) and dependable.
Needless to say, we are VERY HAPPY that John was the FIRST contractor to respond to our request for help.
Job well done, with impressive results, and at a very reasonable cost. Thanks, guys!

Comments: John came out to my home and is by far the best electrician I have ever come across. I had obtained at least 3 quotes from various electricians to review my main and sub electrical panels for repair and possible replacement due to old obsolete breakers and panels on an aging home. All of them wanted to replace my panels immediately and charge over $8k at a minimum and not even entertain or research a possible repair or least costly methods. John was able to quickly diagnose my circuit breaker issue for my dryer Appliance and procure a proper main panel 30 amp replacement circuit breaker for an older electrical main panel saving me thousands of Dollars to say the least . I will still look at a replacement panel eventually to upgrade the panels but this attention to detail saved me from a huge outlay of funds that I would have otherwise had no choice to spend with other electrical vendors.
Additionally keeps my existing system running safely and properly for the time being allowing me time to get the panels replaced.

As a homeowner and consumer Alamo electrical designs and John treated me with the utmost honesty and care and never once tried to oversell me on anything I absolutely did not need at this time and I can say with all honesty that goes a long way in my book .

Despite all his relentless efforts he was unable to locate a 200 AMP CPS Rated and Approved Meter Can due to shortages. He even was here to explain to the property owner of the whole ordeal. Needless to say he made me feel like there was going to be a great outcome. Which it was with the proper info for the owner to make their adjustments things were fixed and CPS came back out and restored the power. John had made an effort to see how things were going.
