Comments: Had AC issues 12/31/20, fortunately Airstrike picked up the phone and was able to schedule a technician to come out the next day; 1/1/21. The technician (Alex) arrived assessed an issue with multiple leaks on interior and exterior unit. Quoted me out with repairing vs replacing. The repair quote was more than 50% the cost of a new unit. Decided to have a new unit installed. They were able to schedule an installation the next day, 1/2/21 (Saturday). Luis installed on his own and did a great job. That night the blower ran non stop. Luis came out the next day, 1/3/21 (Sunday) to diagnose the issue. While there was a slight language barrier and attempt to replace the new thermostat, it ultimately happened to be a wire that was wired incorrectly. 2/2/21 heat ran for approx 3 minutes and shut off. Airstrike picked up at 7:30 PM and scheduled to have a tech out the next day. Bryan arrived slightly later than expected but was in communication with me throughout the entire delay. 10 minutes, NO PROBLEM. Blown fuse on the interior unit was a quick diagnosis by Bryan. Replaced it, blew again. It took a while to diagnose what the ultimate issue but Bryan was thorough, neat, and professional throughout the entire process. He wound up running a new wire from the interior unit to the thermostat (no common ground present, I assume an oversight by Luis). He also took the time to zip tie and clean up the wiring inside the unit (something no one would normally see). Following all the work, he tested multiple times to ensure he would not have to be called back for the same issue. This kind of diligence, I find is hard to come by these days. Comments: This pro was very polite and courteous and, since I am a veteran, gave a discount on the service call. They confirmed that I needed a new thermostat and quoted a price of more than $1,000 for the snap-in replacement (no new wiring needed). I checked the internet and found the unit at Amazon for $540 and at other places for as low as $495. I therefore declined and ended up calling another pro that I had used in the past. While I had to pay another $89 for his service call, he charged only $509 for the thermostat.-
