Work Description: Landscaping
Comments: I am sorry I ever met this man. Hired him to put in a drain pipe in an existing ditch, replace the sod in my yard and install some river stone landscaping. replaced 3/4 of the sod in my yard and poof!! He disappeared. Called and sent text messages got a marinade of excuses. look, I'm 65, retired disabled veteran and have been all over the world, it shames me that I fell for this guys spiel.If I had been more vigilant I could have known Gerry AKA (the preacher),was unreliable. I ended up paying 1750$ for the damage his outsourced crew did to my sprinklers and an additional 8k for someone to finish up is unfinished sod laying and river rock landscaping. If anyone has been duped by Gerry Mobley please contact me so we can do what is necessary get the money due.

Comments: Never and I mean never pay this guy up front. He'll ask for half, don't do it.First job, dropped a tree on my house and didn't tell me. Said one of his workers brought his son on the job and let him cut a tree down.
Lied about patching my roof on another job. Did half and tried to charge me full price.
2 years later, tried to give him another chance.
Second job, destroyed my entryway masonry work. He personally backs out of my driveway and can't seem to use a rear view. He's stump grinder cut my Internet line in 2 places. Fixed that then a week later it got cut again with a bobcat after I told him numerous times and showed them where it was. Caused 3 different connection outages. Used my chainsaw because his didn't have gas. Used my tools to fix the bobcat rental. Leaves heavy equipment in your yard for other work in the area. Leaves trailers in your cul-de-sac for weeks after you tell him the job is done and he is paid.
Scotty the concrete was incredible and did awesome work but had his own business and I paid him through Gerry. He subs out everything and you can just call them yourself.
The crew aren't bad and good men. Gerry I believe runs out of money and can't pay them so they don't come back.
Again, never pay this guy up front. He'll stop midway then dream up another job you need and want more money.

Work Description: clear yard, add underground pipe, and level front yard
Comments: There was a written contract and 50% check upfront. His guys came one day and completed half the job of clearing a back lot. Then he was MIA and did not return my text messages for over 2 weeks. When he returned unannounced, he begrudgingly did some work in the front but it was not what was agreed upon in conversation or in written contract. I paid him to just get him out of my hair. Unprofessional, lack of communication, and poor quality work. His guys damaged trees in the back, did not level the front as any other landscaper would do, did not bury a pipe to redirect gutter runoff. Instead, his guy just turned my existing plastic gutter extension in a different direction. Con man all the way.Goldsboro NC

Work Description: Tree Removal/Trimming
Comments: "CONTRACTOR IS CON-MAN" - Hired Gerry Mobley, owner of A & G Tree and Landscaping on March 6, 2019 for a 2 day job to grade and pave a path for about 12ft wide x 220ft long driveway. Agreed price was $3715 and I paid $1900 upfront. He spent less than half a day on the job, and did less than 20% of what is needed to complete the job and never returned. Here are timelines of events:• 3/6/19 – Hired Mr. Mobley, and he started the job; worked from 1:30pm to around 5pm
• 3/7/19 – Mr. Mobley said would return by 9:30am morning to finish the job, but showed up at 12:30pm to pick up rented equipment, and never returned.
• 3/8/19 – Mr. Mobley text to say he was coming to finish the job, but never came
• 3/9/19 – Mr. Mobley called to say he was coming to finish to job, but never came
• 3/12/19 – Mr. Mobley called to say he was coming to finish the job, but never came
• 3/13/19 – I inquired of him via text if he still intends to finish the job since he has not been back since 3/7/19; and he responded that they were coming the next morning to finish the job.
• 3/15/119 – At around 4:27, I notified Mr. Mobley via text message that I will no longer do business with him and ask him to refund $1,000 of the $1900 paid.
This contractor lied about having a crew and equipment to do the job. With little research, I found that he operated same scam under another name, “Gerry’s Tree and Landscaping”, and currently has 14 open complaints with the Better Business Bureau, and currently rated as an “F”. He also moonlights Manager of “Tree and Landscaping at Wesleys Services Inc”. Simply put, this contractor is a con artist.

Comments: HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. This man never calls you back or even returns your text messages. Has not ever come back to fish the work. He is very untrustworthy and if you ever get in touch with him, he will come up with some cockamamie excuses! Please DO NOT USE HIM! Will LYE flat out to your face! I am speaking with an attorney as well as the police because he has taken my money and he has never fished his work. Federal law has an elderly act that will help you against crooks like him!

Work Description: Concrete Pad for a garage
Comments: He did respond to my email quickly but after that, Whoa! I did sign an agreement with him on the 1st of February they did come out on the 5 to start the framing and getting it prepped. Well here is were it FALLS APART. The framing has never been finished, I have been calling and texting him since February 8th and it is now March 22. I have texted him as of date 117 times and he has only responded 9 times. I have called him over 50 times. He is absolutely HORRIBLE to keep you updated, call or text you back. The concrete STILL has NOT been poured, and he has had more excused than a 4 yr old on why he did not come out. (When I could actually get a hold of him!) He has told me on SEVERAL occasions that he would be out to pour it and get it finished. Well this has happened over 5 times. My wife works 3rd shift and I told him this so I got her a hotel room so she can sleep, do you know he NEVER showed up and never called me or text me why after numerous times I tried to reach him. I have all the text and recording of all our conversations!!! He has cost me more than I have ever imagined!PLEASE SAVE YOUR SELF SOME TIME, DO NOT USE HIM! Very unreliable and now he wants to change the price cause he miss judged it.. Even with a contract. I will be billing him for the hotel expenses!

Work Description: Laid down three dead pines and an oak. All were threatening the house or outbuildings. We're doing the clean up.
