Comments: This is a horrible company as some of the other reviews suggest. I have been waiting 4 weeks for them to submit a quote to insurance company. They do not answer their phones, nor do they hardly answer a text a message. I should have checked the reviews before paying the service fee for them to come out. I'm not sure they even know what they are doing. I highly recommend you not use them.

Comments: After reading through some reviews, I am not sure if I am talking about the same company.
I was referred to A Garcia Mechanical from American Howe Warranty. Within an hour I am guessing the boss reached out and let me know they could not come out until the next day. A little disappointed as I had to turn off the water to the house to stop the leak, but understandable as I called the warranty company late in the day.

A short time later Christina texted me confirming my appointment time between the hours of 10:00 & 12:30. Again disappointed but it is what it is, so I confirmed the time.

The next morning Mark & Joseph arrived earlier than expected at 9:30 and jumped right in. We discussed what may and may not be covered and what might have to be done and certain things may not be covered via the warranty. They diagnosed the issue to be pretty much what I had suspected. They got what they needed and resolved my issue all said and done the job was completed by 10:45.

Mark & Joseph were friendly, professional the whole time they were onsite. I am a smart azz so we even had a few laughs while they the resolved the task at hand.

Comments: This company is really as bad as all these reviews say. My warranty company sent them out for my AC. They caused damage to my duct work and wanted me to pay them $1,300 to fix it. Had another guy come out and fix the original problem correctly and fixed the damage they caused for less than $100.

Comments: BEWARE - THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND LIARS -

If I could rate this place a negative, I would. They were called out for a Warranty Repair. Not only were they late, I had to call to find out when they would arrive. The 2 men that arrived were not so nice. They climbed on my roof said everything looked good. Climbed in my attic to find the duct has been almost stepped on. I just bought my house, and do not go up there. They said they would file the report. This was all covered under my warranty.

Come Monday, they call me to tell me they are on their way and it would be roughly $600.00 to repair. I said NO, I will not pay that. The owner of the company, Adolf, called. He said that it was not covered under the warranty. As I tried to talk, he talked over me, had no respect and eventually said I hope you burn with no A/C.

Long story short, that day another contractor came out, fixed my duct and my A/C was good. All for the lovely cost of $75.00. The contractor that came out, said he has had numerous complaints about this company.

After speaking to my Warranty Company they flagged his account and advised me, they lied about the repairs as well.

This company has been reported to the BBB as well for awful, unethical work.

I would NEVER EVER allow them to come to my home again.. or anyone else I know.
They are scammers, liars and thieves.

Work Description: Faucets/Fixtures/Pipes Repair/Replace

Comments: What a nightmare ! The first thing I noticed was mud on the shoes of the the workers and thinking to myself, no problem I have a central vac. Then I noticed how the man began to franticly try and disconnect simple connections. Then I requested he "Slow Down" He became belligerent soaked with water because water was spraying all over. Then in hast he chip my granite countertop. Then he put pliers on rounded polished chrome disregarding notches to prevent the damage he did and should have known better. This was all pointed out to him, and him telling me "It won't show" and became even more belligerent with me. I felt threatened so I paid to get them out of my house ! Needless to say I called the office and was given the run around and before I was hung up on, I was asked if the leak was gone. I didn't know after that indeed the connection he did were leaking still. After four times he tried to fix and refix and refix his work and it's still leaking ! Was that some kind of threat from you Mr. Garcia, telling me over the phone "You know who I am" ? What dose that mean sir ? How unethical and indeed, informative of you.
What ? I needed time to view my surveillance before I called, you understand. I have audio and video of the time you put that van in my driveway till you walked out of my garage and its not a good look. Photos of the pile of dirt I swept up after, and the kinked copper tubing you cut too short, that was bound to leak. Now I have more leaks, a damaged high end faucet, and a chipped counter top ! And I "Should be ashamed" ? You know what you did and I have the evidence of it ! Thanks for the trauma I'll never forget how unethical people are !

Comments: I should have read these reviews before allowing my insurance company to have this "company" come to my house. It took several unanswered phone calls and messages until I was able to get through to someone to ask the technician to reschedule due to last minute work priorities and no one will be home. On the day they arrived to assess my water heater, they stayed for maybe 5 minutes, didn't do any checks, charged the service fee and told us we will need maintenance and that "our girl" will call to schedule a follow-up appointment. No one ever called. No follow-up appointments were made. We ended up having to contact another technician with a different company who came the same day AND completed the maintenance on the same day! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Comments: Mr. Garcia was very rude when he got to my house three hours late. He asked me several personal questions that demonstrate his lack of professionalism.
Instead of repairing the leak on the bathtub they done something else!!! They told me they don't take care of water leaks
They claim to have licenses but it's better to protect your property and never call A. Garcia Mechanical they don't know how to do their job.

Work Description: Swamp cooler replacement

Comments: My wife and I had a swamp cooler quit on us in October 2018. We had the insurance that covered the HVAC and other appliances so we thought, "Why not, we can save some time and money". This was the company that our insurance utilized to do the repair/replacement. So, we paid our $60 deductible and soon the "Owner" got in contact with us. My wife and I were on the phone with them and we should have followed our guts. He said that we had to let him haul away our old one ($100 charge) and so-called "electrical work ($30 charge) and one other $50 dollar fee for services rendered. And on top of that, when the "owner" came to do an assessment prior to servicing (I was gone a t work) he was very rude and demanding to my wife (red flag number 2).

Well, the day of the replacement arrived. Surprise, surprise, they brought the wrong unit. Oh well, benefit of the doubt from me, it happens. They did not turn off the water to the small water supply line and flooded our back yard. My wife called the owner about it and all he had was a very snotty "Sorry". They also told us that they were going to the Home Depot here (we live in Los Lunas, approximately 25 miles from Albuquerque). So, I thought maybe 1.5 - 2 hrs to get a new unit and return. SIX HOURS LATER and they finally return. The whole team acted like they did not speak English until I came out and asked about the progress, at which time they all spoke perfect English. I listened to them finish hooking up the unit and then their check was one team member yelling to another, "Is it on?!"., to which the member on the roof replied, "Yeah!" Then they packed up. Then one of the members, I guess was the team lead, came over to my wife and I to finalize payment and was very rude to us with lots of attitude and acted like it was an annoyance to him to even be dealing with us. Whatever, so they left.

After they left, I had someone that I knew who was a certified electrician and HVAC technician come over and look at their work because even though the unit was on and running, no airflow was coming out of the ducts/vents AT ALL. Here were the problems that he found as follows:

1. The "correct unit that they brought back after being gone for SIX HOURS, was a rebuilt used unit.

2. The motor in the rebuilt used unit was not only a used one, but one that was beginning to seize up and was not turning.

3. The same said motor was also hooked up wrong (Don;t know how because the terminals and the wires are both color-coded and the terminals have + and - clearly marked on them.

4. The "electrical work" that we were charged for? We have two swamp coolers and two heaters in our home (one each for each story) and they are both tied into the same circuit apparently. Well, this bang-up job that they did cause the heater in our attic to malfunction and now we are out the cost of getting that repaired along with the cost of getting the cooler unit running properly.

My assessment? This is a company that really half-does their work and are very prejudice on top of that. After the deductible that we paid and what this worthless yahoo charged us, we were out almost $400. I should have just bought one myself for @250 and replaced it myself as well since we did not even get a brand new unit from this circus of a company. This company takes advantage of whoever they can and they are not afraid to show their disdain for certain other types of people as well.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

Comments: I was given an estimate of $1200.00 to do the work when they came to check it out. I signed the invoice to that effect, nothing was said about parts. I was presented the same invoice I signed with parts billed which was almost $200.00 dollars more. Originally I was lead to believe everything was included less tax. When they came and did the work they not only left a mess they didn't clean up. I would not ever recommend this company to anyone, they weren't straight with me. I's a good thing I had the extra money to pay. Some senior citizen may not be as fortunate.
