Work Description: Replace broken sewer line
Comments: During the week of Nov.1st I suffered 3 tragic events - the death of my wife, the death of her brother, and a broken sewer line under the house. I chose A1 Nov. 5th because they showed same day service. They sent Brandon out to assess the damage. He checked the crawl space and diagnosed a broken sewer line. We sat at the table and discussed promotional options. I declined 2 offers. He said the job would be $13,000. He offered a promotion to pay $505 a month interest free for 12 months to pay off the debt instead of the remainder. I asked him twice if that is all I need to pay and he said yes. I told him I could manage that because I am no longer paying for the side for my late wife. I signed off on that offer on his device and made clear I must have a hard copy of that as well as an itemized bill of all parts and labor. He said ok. To date I have not received either. The work crew came out 11-8 and began work. All I have received in hard copy is a financial agreement from a 3rd party office called GreenSky. Brandon did not say this was a 3rd party charging 24.99 percent interest, so I thought I was dealing directly with A1 for payment. I never would have agreed to deal with a 3rd party. In summary I feel like my consumer rights were violated by Brandon using deceptive, misleading, and unfair tactics to close the deal. I spoke with Ryan Bernard at A1 and explained my position that I would gladly pay $505 for 12months to pay what I agreed. He rejected the offer and I told him I would do a negative Google review and escalate the dispute legally and ended the call.Hampton VA
