Work Description: Demolish old slab and pour new one
Comments: I contracted with Earnest Johnson d/b/a 4 Corners Concrete to demolish and remove a 16’x15’ concrete slab and pour a new one in my backyard. I gave Johnson a check for $3075 to begin the work on 6/12/23. On 6/13/23, Johnson texted me and said that he deposited the check in his bank but that they put a hold on it, and if I wanted to avoid delay in starting my job, I would have to stop payment on the check and give him cash or cashier’s check. I foolishly agreed and gave him a cashier’s check on 6/13/23 for $3075 with the understanding that if the bank paid the original check, he would return the $3075 overpayment immediately. The bank paid the original check. I have asked Johnson to return the money and he has failed and refused to do so. I must now follow up with the police and a private attorney to sue to get my money back.Orange Park FL

Comments: I have waited over a month to make tis post. My driveway looks horrible. I am having to hire someone else to fix this mess before my HOA fines me. I have given Ernest ample time to make repairs. it's is simple he does NOT know what he is doing. He is such a polite and mild mannered young man that I took a chance...huge mistake business is business. he is no longer responding to my text so I assume he has no intention of smoothing out the driveway getting up the excess cement he splashed all over, never mind the disaster job he did on moving the sprinklers that already cost me $430 to repair.

Comments: Pathetic work ethic, if there was a negative star he certainly would have earned it. This guy did nothing but preach how much he appreciated me giving him a 2nd chance, and that he would leave the area " Better than when he got there" he ended up screwing me over. This guy left crap all over my yard, concrete debris all over, had to be reminded to cut the slab. Tried to hide some concrete debris with dirt, but my security cameras exposed that Do not trust this company, the guy that was with him did all the real work, Ernest would have been really screwed if this guy was not there with him. The guy that did all the work really had all the knowledge, and did the best he could given that Ernest was to cheap to rent a Georgia buggy, but instead used a wheel barrow to haul 6 yards of concrete to the back yard. During the process of dumping the concrete he splashed concrete as high as 6 feet high, not to mention all over my screen door and windows, and wall siding. I happen to miss the concrete that high, the insurance adjuster noticed it and even said himself that the concrete looked like crap. Again, do not trust this company, Ernest will take the money and run. I have every text message and photo to prove my claims. He stated IN TEXT messages that he would be back or his friend come back over an pickup the PILE of concrete debris he left in my front yard, he lied, straight and simple a liar.Jacksonville FL

Work Description: Big job. Trying to get a pad for a large shed, HUGE pad of the house, and driveway addition.
Comments: So far they have messed up our job so bad, we're going to be out over double the money trying to fix it! Seems to be a nice person, but crappy business person. Says he'll be here, then doesn't show up. Try calling, won't answer, doesn't respond at all, or takes hours or days. Tired of waiting. Been 2 weeks trying to tear up one spot because he won't show up! Now he's back to not answering calls or texts!
