Work Description: Plow or push mountain of snow from sidewalk in front of house towards side of house in order to clear a path for pedestrians to walk on sidewalk.
Comments: Sat, 01/31/2015, I placed the request for a contractor for snow removal and described what needed to be done. Early afternoon, Sun 02/01/2015, I received a call from this company verifying my name and address. After verification, they asked if I would be at the property and if they could come down to take a look. I said, "sure." The person I was speaking with transferred me to someone who told me they would be down in 5 to 10 mins. I said, "okay." I thought they were coming to simply look at the job, and give an estimate. However, I'm very pleased and happy to say that when they arrived, they proceeded to do the job right then. When the guy got to my house, he stated his price, I agreed, and he got to work. The street is a narrow, one-way and although vehicles kept coming down the street, the driver politely would drive down the street a ways to let the vehicles through, back up, and continue his work. I lost count, but I know he did that many times. The price was agreeable and the driver suggested how he could move the snow and that was acceptable. Also, for an additional amount, he offered to put down ice melt. I sat on my porch stairs, and he and his assistant helper had the job done in no time at all. He was very personable, agreeable, and got out of his truck with his assistant helper and shoveled a path through the mountain of snow that had been pushed aside in order to make sure people could walk down the sidewalk. I will not hesitate to refer him or use this company (VOC) again and hope they continue to do well. . I called afterwards to report what a great job and what a friendly demeanor both people demonstrated. Job well done!.-
