Comments: Avoid! Disappointed. I moved from Raleigh to the Rocky Mount area one year ago. As a fellow small business owner, I like to hire other small businesses when I can. I hired Elevate Roofing to replace the roof of my home. The quality of craftsmanship is poor and sloppy. They damaged several of my screen windows and crushed two of my gutters. I made them redo the flashing on the front of the house as they smeared black caulk all over the metal flashing. It took me 3 months of following up to get them to replace the screen windows they damaged. It took nearly a year of me following up to get my gutters replaced that they damaged. I was told repeatedly that we were waiting for approval from the owner, Jonathan Rushing. Good luck getting a timely response from Jonathan. I left 4 messages for him over a 5 day period and never received a return call. I was finally able to get his cell phone number and his voicemail was full. I have also had several leaks in the flashing around my chimney. Two different employees have come look at the flashing and put additional caulk but the leaking continues. When I reached out to Jonathan Rushing with my concerns, I received no response from him. When I spoke with another employee I was told that it might be a couple weeks or more before anyone could come replace the flashing. I was told that they’ve become very busy in the last month. It’s become very obvious that the company’s primary focus is only on landing new customers. Once they’ve been paid, good luck getting a timely response from them. The most frustrating part is the lack of concern from the owner, Jonathan Rushing. His eagerness to expand his business in other states like South Carolina and Florida has resulted in poor management of the business and poor quality work. I’m a patient person and gave them almost a year to correct the problems they created. This is the first time I’ve ever written a review of a business as I like to give most folks the benefit of the doubt. I hope this review helps other potential customers avoid the mistake of hiring Elevate Roofing.Supply NC

Work Description: Replace shingle roof with metal
Comments: My roof had significant damage in hurricane Florence. I knew I wanted to change over to a metal roof since we are close to the beach near Wilmington. I knew Elevate had a good reputation so I called them. Within 24 hours they were walking my roof assessing the damage. In another 24 hours they had my roof covered with a tarp. They helped provide documentation I needed for my insurance claim and scheduled me for the 1st available time slot. The workmanship was excellent as was the cleanup. What is really amazing is that every roofer in the area was working 12+ hours a day 7 days a week and other people were waiting months to get new roofs. Comments: READ ALL Please.UPDATED as of 11/9/2018 on job started 7/12/2018 on a very small house.
This job is still not finished and communication with Mr. Jonathon Rushing the GM has broken down and he's became very short and rude when I'm able to contact him. Mr. Danny Yarbrough the sales man and person over this job originally has not contacted me since August 4th, 2018 other that a text sent October 3, 2018 to ensure me that he would be here within a week which has not happened. This job was started on July 12, 2018 and is still not finished even after contacting the Better Business Bureau who are being very proactive in this case. Mr. Rushing hasn't responded to the BBB as to date and seems unconcerned about the fact that I had to contact them. Mr. Rushing said that contacting the BBB would not speed things up. To me that sounds like " if you contact them I'll make it even more difficult" but that's just my interpretation. Though time doesn't lie and still nothing has been repaired with my siding. Again, this job was started on July 12, 2018 on a house that is only 1000 sq ft maximum and still isn't finished. When the job has been looked at by siding crews that know what they are doing they laugh. Mr. Rushing seems to have no concern on the matter. The original sales man Mr. Danny Yarbrough has been completely absent from any form of communication since August 4th, 2018. I will persist with this job until it is resolved and will keep the BBB and the public up to date. (End update)
Original post - > This is now a two part review. It's the most honest way I can think to do it. I had my roof replaced by Elevate Roofing and that went okay. Not great but okay.
Siding was and still is a nightmare. Their sub-contractors were such a problem that we exchanged words because I criticized his work that was already noted as poor by Elevate roofing and Exteriors but he kept up the same quality work and leaving nails scattered and still not fixing anything literally. I would avoid this company at all cost. I'm still working with the BBB to close this matter but I feel we we'll end up in court to get this resolved. If your using this company and having issues, don't let up on them or they will happily forget about you. Get in touch with the BBB and have a lawyer on stand by. Or just use someone else and hopefully you won't have the experience I'm having.
