Comments: Rick Machado from Mach Jack Construction took me to court because I told the truth from my experience of his poor workmanship at our home. The City of East Providence and State of RI Contractors Board deemed the work as Poor Workmanship and told Rick at Mach Jack Construction to fix our home. Contracted 10/2018 and he got a Lawyer who is listed as a "Dummy" on his website. Rick at Mack Jack who hired a lawyer let someone call him a "dummy". I s/w the person who posted Rick's lawyer as a dummy. He told me the entire poor handling of his case. He fired Rick's lawyer in court and handled the case himself!!Rick at Mach Jack was able to avoid the State of RI Contractor Board due to a lawyer. A lawyer called his lawyer and excuses were made constantly. We will take Rick from Mach Jack Construction to court. They did now show up in Superior Court and I spoke with theJudge. Rick made me an offer and I refused at State of RI Cont Board. He first acted kind, caring and loyal. One of his Workers quite as He worker did not like the way he treated his customers. I will take Mach Jack to court as this is a 3 year project he never completed. He paid a lawyer to get out of finishing our job. God/Jesus will do battle for us!! Treat Good Customers with dignity and respect. I refused Rick at Mach Jack Construcion offer to pay me/us off as Mach Jack was unable to handle our job which He started!! Rick from Mach Jack used a post about his Poor Workmanship and got an attorney which stop him from being Dinged at the State of RI Contractors Board. Now justice must be done. What a awful experience, never knew from his kind and sweet manner that he would change into a person who would not answers calls, etc. I want the money he ownes us. I refused and now I am told he owes us more. So much pain, suffering, searching for contractors constantly. The Judge knows as I told the court via email about this Poor Workmanship experience

Comments: Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere! Richard is a nice guy to deal with but the quality of work is beyond terrible. I think I could've done a better job with no experience. I've had to pay another contractor to fix the horrible work that was done. My front door is so drafty that you can actually see the outside. Rick and his brother Ron would show up a lot later than promised and stay about two hours and then leave. It was so damn frustrating that I no longer wanted to deal with them. The project was promised as being completed in 2 weeks tops, 5 months went by and it still not completed.Pawtucket RI

Work Description: spilt a shared bath into 2 separate baths (one master bath, one hall bath). built a wall, installed new plumbing, tile flooring, tile tub surrounds, new fixture installation.
Comments: Told me he and his brother did most of the work (didn't sub contract - except for specialty like bigger plumbing installs - which did keep costs down) and that once they start the job they stay there. The estimate was 3 weeks to complete. we had an understandable delay of a few weeks because I wanted permits pulled so timing of available inspectors influenced the timeline. The expectation after inspections were done was then to complete in another couple weeks. 5 MONTHS later I said "enough". The tile floors were so uneven the mop skips (this house is not that old - it was not a problem with an uneven subfloor). There is a noticeable difference in tile laid by one brother versus the other which is frustrating. Work was done 2 maybe 3 days in any given work week but he (usually one person only) arrived around 10 and was gone before 3. (I asked neighbors and some times came home early myself to check on progress.) Bottom line - one person (mostly) showing up a couple days a week for a coupe hours at a time does NOT constitute a focused effort. The work was shoddy. I have had to pay over $2000 to hire a real tile person to overlay BOTH floors and rip down and redo the front covering of the whirlpool tub. I still need to hire another expert to fix the tile surround in the master bath. Yes - he's good to deal with and fair about pricing (credit, reimbursements, etc.) but you get what you pay for when it comes to effort & execution.East Providence RI

Comments: I was called immediately, he came out to my house took the measurements. Very professional, informative and full of ideas. He called the next day to provide with the estimates, however I have not called him back yet.-
