Comments: DO NOT HIRE!!!!! You will regret it!! Let me save you the hassle and your time. This so called company is far from professional. We hired Joe in October of 2020. Only because our neighbor referred us to him. He was very pushing to get paid the deposit. It took him months to even start on our fence. It was excuse after excuse. Finally they got the fence up. (While they were putting the posts in they would dump a bag of concrete in and spray it with a hose) not mix it. Within a couple months of having the fence up it started moving. The posts were loose. So I then call Joe and told him about my fence. His response was "well are you out there shaking the posts" wtf no of course I'm not going to go and shake the posts. Why would I pay for something to ruin it. He then tells me he will come reset the posts. Not once did he show up. I would text/call him and wouldn't get an answer or it would be an excuse. Anytime I would actually get ahold of him he would tell me it's from the wind. Bullshit. If you build a quality fence it should be able to last you longer than 3 yrs. Fast forward to a couple of months ago. I walk around my fence and took pictures of what was wrong with it. The concrete is separated completely from the posts, posts and the fence are both leaning, half of my fence is leaning so far it looks like it could just fall over into my neighbors yard, one gate won't even open, posts/pickets are bowed, nails are popping out, etc. The other gates main posts became so loose that the latch couldn't even latch correctly because it was spread so far apart. I then send all these pictures to Joe and explain how he didn't give me a quality fence and how bad it needed to be fixed. His Response back "I didn’t give you a guarantee on that fence" "We have had 2 major wind storms and tornadoes wood fences do that i didn’t give you a gaurantee on the fence Call Fence it’s been up there for three years it’s not my fault it’s doing that what does that" I copied both of the texts he sent me. You're going to tell me you didn't guarantee me a fence?! And that after 3 years it's not your fault!? That's total bullshit. After only 3 years my fence should still be in excellent condition if I had got a quality fence. Your company should be able to guarantee a quality fence to anyone they put in a fence for. He then proceeded to try and call me and text me saying he came and reset my posts. Which he never did. Don't lie to me! My biggest pet peeve! He then proceeds to just tell me it's all from the weather and the wind. Which if it was from the wind/weather then everyone in my neighborhood should be having the exact same issue. But the only people having issues are the ones who have used Joes fencing. There were houses built before ours and have had a fence for at least 4/5 years and their fences are going strong. That's right because they didn't use Joes fence. I let my dogs out one morning and next thing you know I couldn't see my dog so I went to my gate and it was wide opened because the gate fully came unlatched from the post so we decidedly to zip tie it shut so our dogs wouldn't be able to get out again. Joe kept telling me he would fix my gate and reset my posts. He still has yet to show up and we can't even get in our backyard from either of the gates. It's been now over a month since he said he would come fix my fence. I've added some of the pictures of my fence and the last two are my neighbors fence "the one who referred us to him" it separated and the the section completely fell over. Their gate also came completely off. So beware! He was also on fox 4 problem solvers! How he takes peoples money and doesn't put up fence. You'll be able to find the article. He needs to be out of business for good so he can stop screwing everyone over! Hire a professional who has good reviews!!!! Not joes fencing! He took advantage of us and now I refuse to let anyone else go through what we have been through!!!!

Comments: Wrote contract with Joes Fence work was supposed to start April 14 2023 gave him deposit of 5500.00 wish I had come here first every excuse under the sun funerals weather even sent text saying he had "the shits" I don't think I have ever worked with a more unprofessional contractor in my entire life he's got one more no show and I will be filing police report because no one is going to take 5500.00 of my money and then not do the work. April 30th 2023 job still not done was another no show. If he no shows tomorrow to the police I go. I will update this post.

Comments: I didn't call Joe for an estimate, he contacted me and was very insistent about giving me an estimate that day. He arrived at my house in record time in a purple VW bug giving the excuse his truck was being serviced, His price was well below other contractor bids I had received and fit within my budget since I'm retired and on a limited income. He didn't waste any time arriving to pick up check (insisting I make it out in his name rather than his company's name) and promptly cashing it the same day. Work was supposed to begin on Tuesday. August 2nd and I texted on Monday, Aug. 1st to see if on schedule. Was told had to finish job on which he had been rained out on and rescheduled for Saturday. Aug. 6th. On Friday, August 5th. I texted to confirm work for the next day and was told it was too hot to work and promised to reschedule for Tuesday, August 9th. Again I texted the day before on Monday, August 8th inquiring when work would begin. And, again He made an excuse that he had a death in the family and needed to reschedule for Thursday, August 11th. By this time I decided to perform a Google inquiry on him as well as with the Better Business Bureau and saw that he had many, many terrible one star reviews depicting Joe Letzig as a career fraud and scammer. I texted him with this newly found information and told him I was tired of his excuses, wanted an immediate return of my money and threatened to file a police report. He immediately called me asking to let him start work as soon as possible. I continued to tell him I would rather work with a more reputable contractor and he continued to ask for one last chance to make this right. I demanded he start promptly tomorrow morning and complete the fence within two days. I'll be glad to revise this review if my fence is installed or my money refunded, but, will let it remain as is as a warning to anyone else who might become a victim of this scheming predator.

We are a reputable small business in the Kansas City area. We signed a contract with Joe’s Fence Company in October 2021 to build a chain link fence at our commercial property. His timeline was two weeks to get started and 3-4 days to finish the project. He cashed the ½ upfront check the very next day. We are presently out $3,250.00 to Joe Letzig of Bates City, Missouri.

Since October, we have made 25+ calls and 50+ texts. He has made up every excuse possible –

He removed my storm damaged privacy fence and replaced it with a five foot black fence. He removed and disposed of my old fence and installed my new one in less than a week. He did an awesome job. Cleaned up his mess and left my property like he found it. I highly recommend Joe's fence company. Feel free to come by and look at the job he did. Comments: I signed a contract for a 50-ft fence to be installed within two weeks. It was a small job that could likely be knocked out within a couple days. Joe's Fence Contractors was affordable and could fit me on the schedule quickly. Joe was very friendly and responsive - until he took my money. Then, I never saw him again.

I was very patient and understanding, checking in with Joe every few days to see why the fence kept getting delayed. He gave me every excuse in the book for weeks including bad weather, material defects, health problems, emergency trip to Dallas, etc. At one point he even sent a bizarre photo as proof of his dental issues. After three months of empty promises, I finally asked for my deposit back and hired a new contractor. It has now been an additional month, and he refuses to return my money.

Many of the five-star google reviews seem suspiciously fabricated. Also, do not bother stopping by the business address on google; you will not find a fencing company in that building. A quick search on the better business bureau and you will find that Joe Letzig previously owned another fraudulent fencing company called "Joe's Guranteed Fence" which acquired an F rating after many angry customers and bad reviews. Another search on google maps, and you will find a third company called "Joe's Fencing - Price Beaters" with even more complaints.

I have the bid, text messages/photos, phone records, bank transaction, and a lack of fence construction to back up my story.

Joe, if you're reading this - please give my money back.

We were told he would be there within a day after closing and would be complete within the week. 3 months later we sit with posts installed and no fencing and a "business owner" that wouldn't finish. After 33 text messages with new dates to finish, had to fire him and hire a new company to complete the work. No responses to refund either other than he doesn't have the money. DO NOT USE THIS GUY OR ANY OF HIS SEVERAL FAKE COMPANIES HE DOES BUSINESS UNDER.

Comments: If you have hired Joe Letzig from Bates city missouri (he claims to have a office in Overland Park as well) beware. If you haven’t DON’T! He was supposed to install my fence on august 24-25 (it is now sep 29) he has given every excuse in the book including no supplies, broken equipment and his wife had two strokes in 3 weeks strange after finding reviews on him from a different business name with a F rating by Better business bureau I found Kim from Prarie village reviewed “he's had weather issues, then material issues with the coronavirus, then issues with his trailer, then his wife had a supposed stroke.” So she has had at least 3 strokes in the last year. If you have family that have had a TIA, you realize how serious that is and that it is highly unlikely to occur like that. I truly felt sorry for him he seems nice yet he lies. He has many reviews from a guy named Alan Rogers. Alan is the guy that works for him. All the reviews from bates city are his family and friends. He is a liar. He could have ordered materials easily and had them in but he said corona stopped the deliveries. He ordered from Menards I checked, they confirmed it would take 2 weeks to get in. I believe he uses your deposit and builds someone else’s fence. When he said his auger broke I offered to rent one for him, then he promised to install my fence for free twice, but then said he wanted payment for labour after he said he was done.(which he never did any work) My dog has escaped out of my yard and was almost killed because he has not built my fence. I did get him to at least bring part of my vinyl fencing so I am not out as much money as I could have been, (however it is at a substantial markup and some damaged goods. i have to pay a lawn company now to resod where he killed my grass by leaving the panels for such a long time. joe Letzig is a liar. If you are currently in negotiations with him be warned, he will never keep to his word. Many reviews had said he does not finish jobs or work is not done right and he won’t return to fix it. If you ask for your money back he will threaten to put a lien on your property. Be aware if he posts a response trying to put the blame on me or that there were weather issues (only 4 days of rain could be blamed) it is a lie and trying to make himself look better online. I have all of our text conversations to back up what I say. I also believe he has someone else posting his online responses, his vocabulary, spelling and sentence structure increases dramatically on all of his online responses. Again, if you have hired Joe be very wary of his promises and money handling and if you haven’t hired him DON’T!

Comments: Hi everyone, I just noticed that he has a new company name. He goes by Joe's Fence, Joe's Fencing - The price beater and Joe's Guaranteed Fence. Be very careful when working with him. I say keep your money until he finishes all the work. I shouldn't have paid him anything for the materials. He never finished my fence and gate and I had to try to find a new contractor and also now in August the material is a lot more expensive, so I basically paid him and have to pay even more now. If I knew he is using a few different names, I would have never paid him until he finished his work.

On January 20, 2020 we signed a contract to build a wood, chain link fence with an electric gate for us. Today is July 20, 2020 and we only have posts installed. After six months of playing games with us and saying he will work on it next Wednesday, for sure next Saturday and on and on, we still do not have a fence or a gate. However, my work notified me that travel will be picking up soon again, and I cannot wait any longer. When I am traveling, I need my dogs to be able to go to the yard without needing me to walk them on a leash. I will now have to find another person to do my fence. By the way, I paid him for materials, and now he is saying he cannot return my money because he bought posts and gate. I do not have any gate, and I am sure posts did not cost $2000 as he indicated. Comments: Called Joe for a quote on a 6 ft privacy fence a long with 5 other company's. Joe was the most reasonably priced. We hired him at the end of April he came out promptly and put posts in. Three weeks later due to some weather and material issues the fence is finished. We are very pleased with the finished product. Joe and his crew were very professional and made sure that everything was clean before they left! We would recommend Joe for fencing. We are going to have him do another project for us. Keeping the line of communication open is always good.

Do NOT hire this guy! I just fired him. He was paid over 30 days ago and we have hardly seen him and his crew. He sends text messages stating he will be there on a specific day - he's had weather issues, then material issues with the coronavirus, then issues with his trailer, then his wife had a supposed stroke. He promised to show up today and complete the job. Again...no show and didn't communicate.

There are a couple of posts that are not straight - they are leaning. In addition, he left the project so quickly last time that he left 3 holes without mixing the concrete.

I believe- he doesn't have the funds to purchase the materials to finish our job. So, until he sells to you...he can't finish mine. Unfinished product - con artist out of excuses - unhappy customer. Word travels.

Absolutely would not recommend this guy to anyone!

He has never showed up. He has an excuse or he will say, “I promise next week, you are on the schedule.” He has never shown up!
It’s funny how he showed up at my house very fast to get the deposit, but won’t show up to do the job.

Comments: Do not hire this guy. Joe is a complete con man. Took half the money up front for deposit and then took three weeks to get post set. Had to constantly call him to get an explanation as to why work wasn't getting completed. Finally I got fed up with his excuses and got 1,000 OF THE 2,500 deposit back. Had to hire another contractor to come in and complete job. The worst experience I've ever had to deal with. I am a electrical contractor who deals with customers on a daily basis and If I was as unprofessional as Joe is I would be out of a job. Unless you want to be swindled and have a constant headache then I'd say hire Joe. But I will never ever recommend this con man to anyone. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY he shouldn't ever get another fence job. HORRIBLE

The quality of the work is good, but you will get a myriad of excuses as to why they will not show up as agreed. Be very careful when considering hiring Joe's Fence!
We set warrens post then he told me somthing came up and he couldn't pay me the rest of the money when finished. Thats why it took so long i cant afford to build fence for free

Prices were ultra-competitive, and Joe and his crew were very nice. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.
