Dream Construction

Description: Welcome to Dream Construction Home & Commercial Remodeling, where your DREAMS come true!

Let me begin by introducing myself, I'm Joe Rogers, Master Carpenter and President Dream Construction Home and Commercial Remodeling.

I have 22 years of hands-on experience, 18 years of which I was a master trim carpenter which included specializing in stairways, custom cabinetry, bookcases and pergola’s.

We personally manage each project from beginning to end. That includes our first meeting, the estimate, the contract, architectural designs if needed and lastly, building the project. There are no stand around supervisors to drive up the cost of the project at Dream Construction Home and Commercial Remodeling.

By using our services you can rest assured in the highest quality of work with a fair price, a clean job, on time completion date and no headaches by dealing with me personally and on a daily basis. We will listen to your needs and work with you to build your ideas and wishes. After all, it's your hard earned money and you should get what you're paying for.

In summary, if you're looking for a new kitchen or bathroom, an addition or just some overdue repairs and you wish for the project to be done correctly the first time and want it to last.

Work Description: Room Addition & Patio Extension/Outdoor Kitchen

Comments: Waited almost 3 years to write this review because Joe Rogers took our money, refused to finish our project, and then sued us! Some of the work Joe did for us was well done. Some was mediocre. One thing, in particular, was terrible...he tried to lay a travertine floor for us when he clearly lacked the experience to do so. When we complained because the tiles were wholly uneven and one was even laid upside down! that's when we saw the true Joe Rogers. He first blamed us, claiming he just "did what we told him to do." Then he said he did it the way he did because he "didn't think we would want to pay" for the work that needed to be done to do the flooring correctly. Finally, he changed his story to say that there was really nothing much wrong with it and it could be "fixed" relatively inexpensively. Fixed??? We paid Joe Rogers approximately $150,000 for the work he did at our home, and we really were not interested in some sloppy work just because he had already collected all of the money he was due (except for one change we requested a few months earlier, which we would have gladly paid if he would have taken responsibility for the mess he made of the travertine flooring). Ultimately, though, we found out that he was grossly overcharging us for the flooring and, very likely, for everything else on the list as well. The company we subsequently hired to replace the travertine (a flooring company well-experienced in this type of work) tore up the tiles Joe laid, leveled the slab (that he left uneven because he "didn't think we would want to pay for leveling it"), and placed new (more expensive) travertine for almost $100.00 less than he charged to buy the tiles and lay them like a 6-year-old. The truth is we liked Joe, appreciated the work he could do and did on our home (except for the travertine), but he definitely is no businessman. When you have a dissatisfied customer, abandoning them such that they had to find a new general contractor to finish the incomplete work so that a final city inspection was possible and running to a lawyer and filing a lawsuit against people who treated you fairly, accepted that a project you promised to complete in 13 weeks was still weeks away from completion 5 months after your projected completion date, and voluntarily did the legwork to find out what needed to be done to correct the flooring problem and attempted more than once to set up a meeting to discuss possible resolutions should not have happened. In the end, Joe got nothing but a bill from his lawyer and a person willing to go online and share with all prospective customers of Joe Rogers and Dream Construction that you better do what we knew we should have done - organize our progress payments to coincide with the progress being made on the project. When you pay money for work that hasn't yet been done, this is often where you end up. The good news, we got our home construction completed and now we are rid of the stress of defending ourselves against a guy who finally got exactly what he deserved.

Comments: Joe did an outstanding job from start to finish.

We solicited several quotes and Dream Construction was the only company who consulted with an engineer before providing us with our final quote. ( We were removing a weight bearing wall.)

Joe is a perfectionist and all work was meticulously completed; removing the weight bearing wall, installation of an island, relocating plumbing, changing from electric to gas, removal and installation of new cabinets, and removal and installation of tile in the kitchen, bathroom and fireplace - all perfectly measured and installed.

I would definitely recommend Dream Construction for any and all of your construction needs.

Work Description: I have an old 1939 cottage style house. They started with the foundation and added more piers to make up for contracting work that had been done seven years before that had not been done accurately, plus they put in a new bathroom and installed a tankless water heater.

Comments: I am very satisfied with them. They do high quality work and are flexible with changes.
